Help!! Why is it that this computer tends to restart too long. I can't think of any reason for it to restart this long. I just bought it last May and I haven't yet saved or downloaded files. What's the problem?! Is this normal? I have been waiting for 30 minutes... and still counting... hwahhhhh!

Windows 10 Anniversary Update not available
My Acer Aspire F5-573G won't update Windows 10 beyond 1511 edition. Every time it tries to, a language selection screen is displayed at reboot and a boot error recovery screen follows (where all you can do is basically abort the update attempt and reboot with the old version of Windows). As a result, I'm stuck with the old version of the OS (build 10586 while the latest build is 15063), which now even prevents me from downloading many security updates.
I discovered that F5-573G is, for some reason, not listed among Acer devices that support the Anniversary edition (a.k.a. 1609 edition). Its "sister models" F5-573, F5-573T as well as E5-573G are in that list, however. So I guess there's nothing I can do about it.
I have no idea why Acer still hasn't fixed it. The list of supporting systems hasn't even changed (as far as I remember) since it was published, which means Acer just doesn't care. Selling computers with outdated and unupdatable OS sounds like a good way to becoming hated by your customers.

Aspire E5-575G with external monitor connected via hdmi
Recently the laptop has issues when connected to an external monitor via hdmi. The problem is the monitor attempts to go into sleep mode and does so successfully but it then receives some sort of wake command 30 seconds or so after going to sleep and the monitor flashes on but only displays the monitor message and not the actual windows desktop. The issue is not the cable or monitor, it has been confirmed to happen on other monitors and different cables. The only solution I can find is to use a vga cable but that is not an ideal solution since the display is not as crisp. I prefer the use of hdmi and have never had problems previously. I'm not sure what triggered this, help please.

Aspire E15 keeps shutting down on fresh Win10 install
I have just formatted my Aspire E15 using the Windows 10 bootable USB installation tool, removing all partitions and installing Windows 10 on a fresh new partition. Everything works fine up untill the point where Windows 10 has been completely installed and I start looking around for drivers, antivirus etc. The CPU suddenly spikes to 100%, the fans start going like crazy, the screen starts turning on and off, making the windows error sound, and then it finally shuts down and restarts itself. When it restarts it is completely unable to boot into Windows, and just keeps trying to load, with the little icon spinning. Only thing that works is formatting the drive again and reinstalling Windows again. On my latest attempt, I managed to get a temperature monitoring program installed, just before the shutdown, and it never read above 83 deg. C, so I don't think it's an overheating problem.
Any help is appreciated.

DVD PLAYER ON ACER ASPIRE V 17 NITRO HAS DISAPPEARED.
My DVD player has completely disappeared. I don't use it very often so I am not sure when it happened. There is no sign of it at all. I can't even get the door to open. I would like to have it back. I need the drivers. What can I do?

E5-491G LCD replacement cable Compatibility
I have an ACER Aspire E5-491G and the display flickers occasionally. I did some digging and it seems like the LCD Cable needs to be replaced. However, I didn't find any parts that specifically say E5-491G (they are usually E5-574, E5-511, E5-722, etc.) when doiong a google search. Are any of the above cables (or some other model's) compatible with the E5-491G? I don't want to buy the wrong cable only to find out I've messed up after I've taken my laptop apart.
As a secondary question, I saw a similar problem for a V5-573G Laptop tackling the same issue and there was a link for a video tutorial on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kTO1DGOeWw&feature=player_detailpage). Will this be essentially the same kind of replacement for my model?

Acer Aspire V V3-572P-540V no sound from speakers, only headphones
Greetings. I recently had my laptop repaired (not though acer :l), after I received it and took it home, thinking all is well I tried playing audio but nothing came out of the internal speakers. It only played through headphones and external speakers from the jack. It did this before and I was able to fix it by reinstalling the drivers and plugging the headphones into the jack and wiggle it around, that worked the first time. It didn't now. Is this a hardware problem? Could they have had disrupted something while fixing the other problem?
Edit. There's also a slight knocking-like sound where the speakers are when audio is played, it can only be heard when you have it close to your ear.

My display is not working properly anymore. Acer V Nitro Black
Windows 10, 64 bit home edition.
So my computer has been doing this for a while now, any time i put something into full screen, close the lid, or anything that makes the display temporarily turn off.
Sometimes the display will just stay off. i've checked with my friends, and i can still type, music still plays, etc, but the screen won't come back on.
Other times it does this and flickers. sometimes its actually even worse, with more of the screen screwing up and the bottom becoming a bunch of light blue lines that don't even show the bottom bar.
I have to restart the computer several times to make the display work again.
this only happens when windows loads. when i initially restart the machine and it has the black screen with the acer logo on it, it always shows fine.
i have updated and rolled back my drivers, and gone through about 6 hours of microsoft tech team help to try to figure it out and all of it failed.
Does anyone know what the problem here is?
someone told me it sounded like hte graphics card was broken, but if that was the case wouldn't it not work at all?

Acer Aspire V V3-372-576D - battery dies at 50%
I am having some issues with my battery...
I just got this laptop last month, but the battery seems to work only to 50%?
It just switches off with no warning whatsoever, and when I plug in the charger, the battery is only at 48%.
Anyone else having the same issues...any way to troubleshoot or check, before I have to go to the Service Centre?

Acer ES 15 wont start up and freezes on acer start up screen
Hi all,
I have only had my acer es 15 laptop less than a year and it wont start up, it just freezes on the acer page and then I cant do anything, I have lost my receipt so cannot take it back and Acer say they will charge to service/ repair!!
Everytime I try to start up it is very slow but gets to the Acer page and just freezes... any help to resolve would be greatly appreciated.

Acer VN7-593G GPU Suddenly Overheats
I have an Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black, and have been using it to play Overwatch for a few months. It has always had problems with heating, but those problems have mostly affected the CPU. Since sending it into Acer Support for a new thermal unit, it has been running fine, albeit on the warmer side. However, last night, in the middle of a game it began throttling to the point where FPS dropped from around 60 down to below 20, rendering the game unplayable. When I looked at my hardware monitor, the GPU temp read as high as 100C! Way too high!
Now, any time I open the game, GPU temps instantly skyrocket. This issue that appeared so suddenly last night has rendered the laptop unusable for gaming.
Heres what I've tried so far:
-Restarted the system multiple times.
-Installed new GeForce driver.
-Installed new Intel HD 630 (CPU graphics) driver.
-Checked for new nVidia graphics driver (up to date).
-Ran Malwarebytes, Norton Security Scan, and AVG Scans to check for viruses (I understand that bitcoin mining software can cause this sort of problem) but all came up clean.
-Installed MSI Afterburner to see if I could increase or even just monitor the fan speed. When this didn't work, I uninstalled and reinstalled the program.
For some reason, MSI Afterburner, along with every other utility I've tried, has been unable to set or even read the fan speed of my GPU, so I am unable to confirm my suspicion that the GPU fan may have failed. After some research into this problem it appears that it can be caused by improper installation. Given the amount of issues I've experienced with this BRAND NEW laptop in the first few months of owning it, improper installation seems VERY plausible and my trust in Acer is at an all-time low. Any advice or insight into this problem would be appreciated; I really want to avoid sending this unit off to Acer support in Texas for a few weeks AGAIN.
