Ok, I have few issues with this laptop and I suppose they are all bios related.

So, when computer is powered off completly, battery drains in few days.

After that, when I plug it in, cpu vent power up, despite computer not being powered off, and when I power it on, it turns off.

Power button does not work in windows (it should put windows in power down mode).

When you power down the machine, most of the time cpu vent turns on and I have to power it on and enter bios and turn computer off.

I receive a message that the hard drive must be empty to do this.Do I have to format all partitions or is it enough with C:?

Or do I have to delete all partitions as well?

 

I have an Aspire E5-771G-54VR.

I have recieved a replacement of my laptop and the problem with this new laptop is that it shuts down randomly and also i have tried to calibrate the battery but still the issue persists . sometimes even the battery indicator gets stuck at 99 % and remains there for some time and then it starts to drop down to somewhere near 45% and the laptop shuts down with no warning and i cannot turn it ON again untill i insert a pin and reset the battery through the hole provided at the back.

Then also when i click the power button to power on the laptop makes a click sound and shuts down like 3-4 times and then boots up properly.

 

this only happens on battery power not on AC.

is my battery a issue ?? i rember this issue started off after i updated my bios to 1.27 .

 

help please !!

My laptop Acer Aspire ES 14 - ES1-432-P2CG have it's LCD sreen backlight dimmed when it wake up from sleep, it looks like happens after I turn on the Bluelight shiled feature via Acer Quick Access, turn off the Bluelight feature doesn't help.  It happens constantly after sleep.

This problem make me have to hard reset the laptop because i couldn't adjust the setting by looking at the LCD screen. Please let me know if you have any clue. Thanks.

Hello,

 

I have an aspire e5-521-84UV laptop and I need to create virtual machines. I'm trying to use VirtualBox since it's what we use at school and my machines won't start. I always get the same error: AMD-V is not enabled. The thing is, there's no option to enable AMD-V in my bios even though the processor is capable of virtualization. 

 

Is there any way to enable it? I really need to create the virtual machines for school.

Hi,

 

My bluetooth is no longer detecting new devices that I want to pair. I've tried everything. So now I want to see if manually updating the BT driver will work. But, there's a problem - the dates.

 

I have 3 native Bluetooth drivers:

 

The current Atheros driver (Bluetooth USB module) is dated 5/18/2016.

 

The most recent BT driver on the Acer site is older, dated 7/28/2015.

 

Question 1: Should I replace my current Atheros 2016 driver with the "latest" 2015 Atheros Bluetooth Driver?

 

Question 2: I downloaded the zip from Acer and I have these folders. I don't see the "suite" anywhere in it. When I have Device Manager automatically search the folder for the driver, it doesn't find it. How do I actually install the driver?

Hi,

 

I have the above mentioned Acer Aspire laptop which is installed with 16gb of ram. I have not opened the case to find out how many module slots there are, but short of doing so, is there any way of finding out if my RAM can be upgraded. Thank you.

I recently reinstalled Windows 10 on my ES1-511-C7PH, and I've sifted through the internet endlessly over the past few days as to how I might get this touchpad working. I've tried the Windows 8.1 drivers from the official site, and they activate the touchpad, but it is far from "working" (at least the way it was working originally). I can move the cursor, but the way it moves is very choppy, there is input delay. Also, things like multi-touch for scrolling and click and drag don't work. I've also looked in the BIOS to change the "Touchpad" setting between "Basic" and "Advanced", but it is simply not there. Does anyone have a solution?

Hello everyone,

 

Recently I came accross a few posts of people switching out their stock screens on their E5 575 for 1080p IPS displays. I wanted to know if this would be possible on my model which was stock with non HD display. Also could you recommend any possible screen models that would be compatible.

 

Would there be a problem with battery drain after the upgrade given the higher quality of the display.

i have had this laptop at least 2 years but my keyboard has decided to stop working.  the onscreen keyboard works and the built in mouse working.

Hi everyone!

The sound from my laptop sounds pretty low and muffled even at max volume. However, when the screen sleeps or when in battery saver mode, there's a big increase in sound and clarity (but no change in the volume number). For example, if the volume is 100, it plays at a certain volume. Once the screen sleeps or battery saver mode is entered, the volume remains at 100 but the sound is louder and clearer. I want my laptop to always have that louder sound.

Also, Acer TrueHarmony does not stay enabled. I have to re-enable it almost every time I turn on my laptop.

According to Windows, my laptop is up-to-date with upgrades. I have never updated anything through the Acer website. My laptop was manufactured 06/25/2017. It has been this way since I received it last month.

Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!

however, there are many types of:

- Bluetooth : BroadCom, BroadCom HAI, Atheros

- TouchPad : Synaptics, ElanTech

- VGA : Intel Broadwell, NVIDIA, NVIDIA Broadwell

- Wireless Lan Driver: Broadcom, Intel, Atheros

 

i think it's very BAD that we have no idea which one should we install, there are no notes or intructions to find out which type we need. Many famous software vendors always include such notes in their websites:  click here to find out which version you need? (or like that, and when user clicks, he sees the instructions). But on Acer website, like on that link, i have no idea which one I need.
