Hi there,

Since i bought the laptopin November I've been having a problem intermittently with my laptop only when on battery. The problem occurs randomly after receiving a Kernel-Power error 41 in event logger. The computer shuts off with no warning and no error message, just an instant shutoff. This error seems to happen sometimes more often, yet other times less so. But there is no identifying factor that could be causing it. 



I also have a constant reccuring issue called WHEA-Logger, which is a problem that a good few people who own laptops in this range seem to have.

Through extensive forum reading i found that the problem might've been updated drivers, or even in this case rolling the drivers back. I've tried everything from updating to rolling back drivers for each and any possible part of the computer. 

I'm quite annoyed that this is the case as this has been going on since I bought the laptop. Hopefully it's easy to resolve.

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to buy an Acer ES-332-C5E1, however, I couldn't find any information about whether I can upgrade its SSD or not. It is said that it had only 32GB SSD, but we don't know if it's SSD or EMMC. As you all might know, due to the product codes, all the specifications change. If you have an idea or information, please let me know it.

hey, I just downgraded from the laggy windows 10 to win 8.1 and it's actually running very well but for the touchpad .. I installed both touchpad drivers from this :

and still not working, I checked the BIOS and it was enabled. also the lock key fn + f7 not making any change.

The device manager showing all devices correctly recognized and installed.

in the mouse and pointers there are 2 mouses, the usb and another one(guessing its the touchpad?). tried to update that one and it says i got latest updates

but there's no sign that it is here... can anyone help me please i've looked so much i just gave up

Hi guys i tried all tips on internet to resolve it but no way , it dont works , i can't connect my wifi , i can't even activate it , when i rebot my pc it has 1/4 chance to connect but the probleme comes again in few minutes , so if you have an idea tell me please

Hi all, just recently purchased this laptop , but really unsure if the hard drive is large enough ? The reason I say this is that I have only been using it an hour , its saying when I download the updates there is not enough room and programs or files need to be deleted to make space ...is ths right ? Fortunatly there were some files I didnt want so I was able to make space ... the hard drive is now saying 3.31 Gigabyte free of 28.GB ?   to me its nearly full already after an hour   so what happens after 6 months updates ??

The battery charging on my Aspire E15 laptop constantly beeps with the symbol flashing between charging and battery only...laptop is less than 6 months old and was not cheap.

Have tried just about everything to cure, battery resets, updates, whatever the internet suggests

It appears its a common problem with Acers , yet nil permanent fix

Hi! I have updated my bios to newest version.

Unfortunately it didn't work well. My laptop bricked and when i turn it on, it only show the power light and turn off.

I have the .rom backup file there. What should i do? Please help!

HI all,

I bought a second acer, after the first which I bought 3 years ago.

They are both working in the same room and attached to the same router

The old one is E3 celeron, the new one is I5 E5-575G.

.... and .... the old one is connected 144 MBps the new one at 72MBps

... uhm ... really strange I've an Atheros QCA9377

 

any idea ?

When I hit the power button the first thing that comes up is a "enter current password" box. After hitting enter and disabling the system, I get no hash or error number displayed. I don't get an Acer boot screen allowing me to boot to my BIOS screen to boot from a recovery/BIOS password remover CD or USB. None of my F keys are helping do anything before I get that password screen.. I have to have the "current password"...

What do I do?! D:!!!!

I have Acer E15 E5-553 laptop. I would like to enable Hyper-V virtualization so that I can Run Ubuntu VM. However, BIOS does not allow me to do this. What can I do?

some part of my screen is unresponsive. some part of my screen is okay. i tried to factory reset it, still not solved the problem. any solutions? does this mean i have to buy another screen?

Hello.  On Feb. 9, 2017, I bought a brand new Acer Aspire ES1 533-P14T, 15" laptop that Acer advertised as having 6GB of RAM (which I naturally assumed was installed memory).  Wouldn't you?  I had never seen a laptop having 6GB of physical RAM so yesterday, I carefully took off the back cover and to my amazement, the sticker on the ADATA AO1L16BC4R1-BQSS RAM circuit board read "DDR3 4GB 1600MHz Adata 1.35V". I noticed that there was ONLY one slot (bank) available for holding a RAM circuit board and not two slots (banks).  In the future, if I were to upgrade the memory from 4GB to 8GB (which is the maximum) for this laptop, I would buy one 8GB RAM circuit board and sell the original 4GB RAM circuit board.  I surfed to ADATA's Taiwan based website and this company only manufactures 2GB, 4GB and 8GB RAM circuit boards, and NOT a 6GB RAM size.

 

Well, Windows 10's system information said "Installed RAM - 6GB (5.83 useable)".  How can that be?  How can Windows 10 show more memory than what was installed?!  So, I ran the program CPU-Z and its Memory tab showed the Memory Size as being 5970 Mbytes (i.e. 5.97GB).  However, the SPD tab showed Module Size as being 4096 Mbytes (4.096GB).

 

I phoned Acer's Technical Support and this rep told me that I should disregard the ADATA sticker showing 4GB RAM memory size and just accept Windows 10's system information which showed 6GB of RAM as being the correct memory!!!  Is Acer legally correct in their depiction of this laptop having 6GB of RAM because Windows 10 said so?  Is that 2GB of memory in excess of the 4GB installed considered virtual memory? 

 

I said to that Acer dude that I am returning this 4GB RAM laptop that was touted as having 6GB of memory for a full refund.  He didn't seem to care.

I want to upgrade the RAM and HDD on this laptop and according to Crucial's website it says that DDR4-2400 SODIMM memories are compatible with this laptop but I can't find any information about this on Acer's website.  Is this true or is a mistake on Crucial's site?

 

Also Can any M.2 2280 SSD work on this laptop or it has to be a specific one?

Updated to the latest bios 1.2 and have latest nvidia drivers as well.

Since this system has been randomly black screen crashing.

Did not recall seeing this before.

Did a reset on the bios to defaults.

Still did a black screen crash yesterday.  Battery was at 60%.

 

Anyone else?

Is there a better bios version to be on?

I havea an E5-475g-53JQ, it has a warranty seal on the back that is not allowing me to upgrade the ram of it. It is currently 4 gb and I want to upgrade it to 16gb's of ram. Will removing the sticker void my warranty?

Hi

 

I'm not exactly new to onboard/dedicated graphics card, but are laptops supposed to operate with both?

I have an Aspire F5-573G, are these laptops supposed to use both? Or is it possible to only use the dedicated one?

Also, is the on board graphics using up the physical memory installed?
