Standby
When I use Vlc, and its and pause, my laptop wont go in standby mode. Anyone know how to fix this?
And does anyone know if there is a setting where I can make my lapturn turn off by a spesific time? I have it to shut off when I close the screen, but if I fall asleep I would like it to shut off and just not be in standby mode.

aspire e15 boot knoppix hang
Hallo,
I'm currently working with win10 on acer aspire e15.
windows boot time approx. 3min
after logon windows allocate 1,8/1,9 GB RAM. (no app running)
start application (control-center, explorer, taskmgr) needs approx. 1 min.
following error "no response" frequently. (possible swaping,virus)
system is unusable.
So i want to try boot knoppix to diagnostic windows (evt-log,vscan,hw-check),
but knoppix hang after 1sec, without errmsg.
I tried any versions (6.7-7.7 cd,usb): no success.
Other notebooks boot without problems,
Google seems to not know this problem.
Does somebody has any hint?

Laptop doesn’t start
Sometimes my Acer Aspire E1-731 doesn’t start.
When I remove the battery, click 30 seconds at the “on”-button, add the battery, add the AC-electricity and then wait for a while, the laptop starts it up again.
What could this be?

Good wifi, terrible ping in online games (Acer Aspire E5-575G)
I bought an Acer Aspire E5-575G for use at school. My university wifi is very good and usually my internet is very good for video streaming/downloading/etc. My speed test is here:

However, if I try to play an online game such as League of Legends or TagPro, my ping is unbearable. I get upwards of 200 ping on League, and it spikes up to 900 sometimes, making the game unplayable. I know this is an issue with my computer, because people that I play with in the same room using other laptops have fine ping.
I have tried updating my Wireless Network Adapter drivers through the Acer website and through Device Manager, however, nothing seems to help. My speedtests always look fine, but I get absurdly high ping to online games. Do I have a defective network adapter? If so, what can I do?

Acer Aspire E 15, How can I make it so the keyboard backlight is ALWAYS on unless I toggle it off?
I'm kinda getting sick of it turning off after a minute or so of not using it especially when I'm in a dark room. Is there a setting so that it's always on when I toggle it on?

E5-575G-53VG : Headphone output only ONE side
Hi. I just got this laptop.
When I plug my headphones into the audio jack, the sound outputs to only side (left).
However both the built-in speakers play alright.
I've downloaded and installed latest Realtek drivers but no change.

Acer E 17 E5-774G-570J - Windows 7 64 BIT Missing drivers (USBs not working, VGA driver missing)
Hello Acer community,
I've looked all over the internet and can't seem to find the solution to my problem. Please help.
I bought the Acer E17 laptop which came preinstalled with Windows 10 on a slow 5400 HDD. I installed a brand new SSD, changed my BIOS to Legacy and installed Windows 7. Everything went without a hitch, with the only (and major) problem being that I can't seem to find some of the required drivers.
Drivers missing:
-VGA Driver (940MX)
-USB Driver (none of the USBs are working)
-Many others but these are the most important ones to me ATM
I'm really hoping that I can get at least my USB ports to work. The sole reason of why I went back to Windows 7 is because my sound recording hardware doesn't have drivers for Windows 10. And here I am now not having drivers for my USB ports. This is a joke.

Acer Aspire E5-571-35LV shut down problem
I have a Acer Aspire E5-571-35LV laptop, it came with Windows 8. I downgraded to Windows 7 and again upgraded to Windows 10 recently. Also I had to convert its HDD from GPT to MBR and again to GPT (because W7 doesn't support GPT) and also I changed boot from UEFI to Legacy and currently again UEFI. I converted my HDD type to GPT using 3rd party software without formatting it.
I'm having this issue when shutting down and sometimes putting this to sleep. It happens with Fast startup (hiberboot). After shutting down the screen goes black and blue indicator light remains the same. Some times it turn off after a while, but sometimes it says on. One day it had turned on overnight, I full charged it before shutting down but in the morning battery was low. Sometimes when I put this to sleep the blue indicator light stays and when I want to wake up the device I have to press power button till blue indicator light turn off and power up again.
I use that press and hold power button method for most of time when blue indicator light stays more than 5 minutes. I updated the BIOS (v1.32 latest in drivers page).
What is this problem?
