My aspire e15 currently has 8GB of DDR3 L Memory. I need to upgrade to 16GB of RAM for school can I change the cards and can my computer handle this amount of RAM without any issues.

Acer Aspire F5-573G-59AJ and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (1st gen) audio interface - USB related
Hello,
I've just got a new laptop Acer F5-573G with the specs.txt attached in attachments area.
The problem with my Scarlett 2i2 (first gen) is: it needs to be detached from USB and retached again once Windows 10 gets up and running to get it working back. If I simply leave the USB connected to the computer, in the next initialization after shutting down or restarting Windows 10, Scarlett will not be working again until I disconnect and reconnect the USB port again. I've already tried almost everything like: following the Windows 10 optmization tips from Focusrite (link: Windows 10 Optmization Youtube video - I've whatched the whole YouTube video), changed all the energy plans, turned off fast boot, etc etc.
I don't know if it is some driver related problem or if this new laptop deals with USB ports pretty different than my old laptop Dell Inspiron 15R 5537.
Could you guys give me any advice on thought on that to try out here? Maybe the laptop handles the USB ports in a different way that I still don't know how to control. I've tried to go to the BIOS and check if there is any USB Legacy feature to turn on or off.
Anyway, I hope you guys can give some light PLEASE. Its pretty annoying to have to disconnected and reconnect the USB port to get my audio interface working back everytime I need to use it. Thanks! I will be waiting for some response...

aspire E1-572g black screen
acer aspire e1-572g. system restore done sucessfully (windows 10, was working fine but slow). After shutting it down normally and turning it back on a few hours later the screen is black. However, connecting to an external screen via HDMI works and everything seems fine. Sound is fine and integrated web cam is fine. Just the integrated screen not working. Could be damaged screen or some damaged connection to the screen, but wouldn't it be too much of a coincidence seeing this happening after a system restore? (originally the laptop was windows 8.1 but upgraded to 10 with no problems). Thanks!

Acer Aspire ES 15 (ES1-533-C3UW): Legacy BIOS Missing
Hello,
I have problem - I want to install Ubuntu Linux on laptop which has Linput Linux Lite. Problem is, that no device, USB or DVD, can be used to boot, as laptop doesnt even allow such option. Formus say that it works after changing Boot method from UEFI to Legacy, but my BIOS offers only UEFI.
To install Ubuntu i am using .iso file burned to DVD.
Can you help?

AC adapter for Acer Aspire E1-572 - DC jack plug size (internal diameter) ?
I am trying to get a replacement dc adaptor for an Acer Aspire E1-572.
(serial number starting NXMBEEK02934 ... it's possible that I may read zeroes as O's or vice-versa)
I cannot find anywhere what the DC jack plug internal diameter should be.
Some indications are that it is 5.5mm / 1.7m
Other indications are that it is 5.5mm / 1.5m

I have a possibility of using a dc adaptor for an Acer Aspire E1-571 with a 5.5mm / 1.7m DC jack ...
but most suppliers seem to sell different adaptors for E1-571 and E1-572,
and although I can't quite see the difference (unless it is the DC jack plug size) I assume there must be a reason for that
Can anybody advise ?

Aspire E5 574G - Crucial MX300 750G SSD not recognized up in Device Manager
I had purchased a Crucial MX300 750GB to replace the faulty Seagate 1TB HDD Hard Disk for my Acer Aspire E5-574G notebook (*main reason is for better performance), I’ve used Acer e-Recovery Management USB backup drive to restore Windows 10 factory defaults and it was done successfully.
Upon systems starts up and I’ve checked the Control Panel > Device Manager > Disk Drives it was still shown as previous Seagate 1TB (ST1000LM024) and right click the properties shown the driver is working property, done a scan for hardware change with the same and boot from inside Windows 10 to check the UEFI Firmware Settings shown the Crucial MX300 750GB it was recognised as SSD.
Please could anyone help to suggestion a solution to this problem, I’ve searched in Crucial website, Acer Website and Microsoft website could not find any specified device driver for this MX300? ? Is there anything else I need to do to get the Windows 10 to detect and recognise this SSD Drive?

F5 -573G-73BD - No bootable device message after windows update and restart laptop 8 days old
I purcahsed this laptop 8 days ago I only started using it 4 days ago and already I have an issue. I chose the option to do a windows update and restart, upon the restart I get a " No bootable Device" so I enter BIOS to check the boot device the only hdd in the system is listed as the first boot device I saved and restart. Again I get the message no boot device so I restart and push f12 to access the boot menu however there are no drives to select to boot from. I access the bios again and enable the d2d option to do a recovery from the partion when I restart I hold down alt and push f10 to start the recovery however all I get is the no boot device message. Does anyone have any suggestions? I purchased ACER against my better judgement as the tech person informed me that ACER had picked up their act and were now a reputable brand. I said they were not 5 years ago when I worked in the IT industry but he assured me that was no longer the case, moral of the story it seems ACER is still a crap brand. I have contact ACER support I am still waiting on an answer. I purchased the laptop in Australia but have travel to Thailand for 2 months on holiday so I expect them to throw all types of roablocks in my path in my attempt to try and have this issue resolved. Any suggestion appreciated.

Acer Aspire e5-571 will not Charge Lights Blinking
Hey there, I have an Acer Aspire e5-571. I was doing a repair on it and I found once I reassembled the charger will not charge the battery. If the battery is removed from the laptop the lights on the front both blink but the machine will not start up. Any suggestions?

warranty problems with new acer aspire e15 notebook
I purchased the above on Oct 16 1 month later lcd screen cracked when I signed in, Was told it would be covered by warranty if not m fault & sent a fedex shipping label. When repair dept Mississauga rec'd itthey claimed there were slight scratches on it and I must have caused damage so they wanted $179.U.S. to repair it. In subsequent calls to support centre in Cariean incl."level 2people"I told them I did not damage it and it was always opened on my desk with no one else having access to it. I was told by various people that it had to be dropped or something heavy ut on it(not true),the warranty was only good if there was damage the day the box was opened to which I asked why it was a 1 year warranty and not a 1 day warranty & received no explanation. Then on Nov 18 I received an email statingyour computer has been repaired" & I beleived finally someone had beleived me but when I received the comuter it wasn't repaired. On calling Acer support again & talking to another level 2 person I was told a cracked lcd screen is never covered as it is always sent by Acer in perfect condition & it had to be either m fault or Staples fault where I bought it . when I asked why I was told to send it in when they knew it was a cracked screen and why I was given all the other stories she said they were all errors & she was "sorry & understood my frustration" but would not cover it under warranty. I have now gone to CBCTV go public as I feel the warranty program is a scam to get further repair money and I caution anyone purchasing an Acer product that their warranty is virtually non existant

e5-575-51gg M.2 SATA Ubuntu installation
My system is running Win10 on the HDD0 - BIOS V1.18.
Currently, I'm running Ubuntu via the USB-HDD in Legacy mode.
Has anyone installed 64-bit Ubuntu 16.04 on the M.2 SATA slot (i.e. HDD1)?
The goal is to selectively boot up in either HDD0 (Win10) or HDD1 (Ubuntu) in UEFI mode.
Notice that it's not a dual boot mode.

Does Aspire F5-573-55R7 USB C support Displayport?
Intel 520 integrated graphics in Aspire F5-573-55R7 has support Displayport 1.2 capability from Intel data I have reviewed. Before I purchase a USB C to Displayport adapter, has anyone had success using the USB C port to drive a Displayport monitor? Driving Dell U2417. Also plan to use the laptop HDMI port to drive a second U2417, so two monitors concurrently. Intel data indicates multi-monitor support should work, so my question is whether the USB C port has Displayport capability. Anyone driving two displays at 1920x1080 60 Hz as described? No gaming planned.
Displayport MST from the USB C would be great, cannot locate anything in Intel data suggesting that explicitly but does mention Displayport 1.2.

Hello guys. Yesterday I just bought this laptop and today it always shuts down by itself. The first time it shuts down it says it's trying to update the Windows 10, and it failed. So I decided to disable them. But after some minutes of usage, it shuts down again. Now I'm trying to reset it. Any idea?
