Acer M5-582PT Bluetooth problem

$

So I just bought myself a bluetooth keyboard (K380 Multi Device from Logitech) but the problem is I dicovered that my bluetooth was no longer available anywhere on my computer. Then, decided to download the drivers from acer support page but seems that there are some common problems with Bluetooth and Windows 10 update. Checked the windows 10 compability with the official page and seems my model didn't make the cut (even though windows asked if I wanted the update so I assumed it complied with the neccesary specs). Anyway I can fix or download Bluetooth?

keyboard not working

The keyboard on my Aspre E-13 stopped working (I had to use a USB keyboard)  I tried everything eventually resorting to a complete factory reset but even that did not work.  I then tried the Battery reset pinhole (the very small hole on the base) and that worked OK. Now working as before.

Acer E14 E5-475G-51SV battery manager

Hello Acer Community! I'm new here...

I just got a new Acer laptop(model in the subject), I was wondering if there is some sort of power management to stop battery to charge further to 100%  (like 80%) to preserve battery life since I mainly use it on AC adapter. Thanks in advance!

E1-571 not posting, any ideas?

So, I've had this laptop for 2 years now, it is an E1-571-33114G50Mnks it has always worked really nicely, I upgraded the ram to a kit of 2x8gb sticks and that also worked fine, shortly after it upgraded itself to win10 the laptop would take ages to post, we're talking 20mins, but sometimes it would be instant! recently it will not post at all, I hit power and blue lights come on, specifically the power LED and HDD read LED and oddly, regardless of wether the AC charger is connected or not, the battery charge indicator flashes a slow orange, (NB. after tearing down the whole thing, re-seating everything and re-applying thermal grease, the orange light now behaves correctly) if it is left to run for long enough it will at random each time beep at me, a single beep every ten seconds. Now I haven't just jumped on a forum begging for everybody to use google for me, I have seen, tried and failed with many many solutions.

I have (Updated to save pointless reading below):

  1. Held down the power button for 30secs, then 60secs, then 120secs with no power source inserted
  2. Held down the power button and F12 for 60secs with no power source inserted
  3. Pulled out the battery whilst powered on and re-inserted
  4. Removed HDD and powered on
  5. Removed/swapped memory slots and powered on in all configurations
  6. Removed, cleared and re-inserted the CMOS battery
  7. Powered on, pressed F2 then F9 then F10 then return and rebooted
  8. Powered on hit all of the above keys simultaneously and then rebooted
  9. Plugged in a second monitor to the HDMI slot then pressed all 'F' keys to try and switch monitor
  10. Held a torch to the screen to check if the backlight is dead
  11. Powered on with the screen at various inconvenient angles
  12. Accessing BIOS by mashing F2
  13. Using BIOS crisis' Fn+Esc with a usb BIOS inserted resulting in 3 beeps then a power-off
  14. Replacing the CMOS battery
  15. Disconnecting all non-essential strip-cables to the mainboard and powering on

All to no avail whatsoever.

(Obsolete text, IronFly has graciously helped explain some things however so I'll leave it in for context)

What I want to try next is the crisis BIOS flash using the supposed Fn + Esc immediatly after power-on but the BIOS files are windows applications and not the usual BIOS files I am used to when performing these sorts of Reflashes, is there anyone with any ideas, I will eat them up, I really don't wanna accept that it's cold solder or a fried GPU :/

Thanks to anyone who even bothered to read this, really.

Aspire E15 Start (ES1-512 is dead)

Bought a refurbished aspire E 15 start (ES1-512-C5YM) Via ebay with a 1 years warranty, The laptop was for my wife but its had no use at all, if its been used for 10 hours, that will be the limit.

I recenty tried to switch it on and nothing, I plugged in the charger and the blue light comes on the charger but no charging light on the laptop.

Checked the internet and it tells me to hold a pin in the battery hole for 30 seconds without the power cable and nothing, I have also tried holding the power button while holding in the pin in the battery hole and nothing.

I dont think that the company will honour the warranty because i bought the Laptop on the 14th September 2015 but i did not recive the laptop till the 21st September 2015 (Today is the 19th Sept 2016)

Since the Laptop had not been used for 4 months, We thought that it had lost its charge, or possible it was over charged when we last used it.

Anyways , Any help would be great.

I couldn't view the picture I've taken. Picture save automatically on CAMERA ROLL folder. When I click the saved picture, it gives me this message:

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC could not open 'WiN20160919_083547 JPG' because it is either not a support file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachement and wasn't correctly decoded).

How do I resolve this issue?

These blank areas are generaly rectangles, an inch or so vertically, and 1/8 to 1" horizontally.  They eventually clear up, but something isn't right with the display.  Any ideas?  Another odd thing is yesterday the information in the address bar the lettering flickered , went blank and then came back.  Related?  I don't know

Hello.

After extensive search in both the web and this forum I have come empty.

My gf was given this laptop for her bday. F15 572G with 1tb HDD & 940m GeForce GPU.

After installing the windows 10 pro, I began installing the drivers.

To begin with the wireless had been slow. I had downloaded all the drivers from the acer website and I planned to copy them to the laptop so as to continue the installation.

The download was with less than 50kb/s, while it could upload at 400kb/s.

Anyhow, when I went to install the gpu driver:

Both: VGA_nVidia_10.18.13.5354_W10x64_A from the Acer website but also from the GeForce site: official 372.70-notebook-win10-64bit-international-whql i get a BSOD.

By using whocrushed.exe, I managed to identify the BSOD cause as:

Now, oddly enough, in the computer manager, the GeForce card, appeared as "generic display adaptor", beneath intel graphic card and after it rebooted from another BSOD, it appeared as 940m, and once I ran again the GeForce driver it gave same BSOD:

When running the windows driver update service, it gives correct message: http://i.imgur.com/9IvUcNn.png

I did a sfc /scannow.

No problems. Result:

I installed all the rest of the laptop drivers from the asus website and no change.

Still the 940m does not seem to be functioning.

Lastly, here is a video of the whole video card installation progress and eventual BSOD

Later today or tomorrow, I will re-install w10.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Hello.

I was given an Asus 1015BX and decided to delete data from original owner (my partner). I started it yesterday dinnertime and come midnight it had 24% left to do. I turned laptop off overnight and switched on this morning and its showing this message. 'An operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system.

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart'.

So I'm wondering, what is my next step?

Thanks for any input.

Aspire ES1-311 webcam not working

I've had this laptop for a year now but never used the webcam. I recently needed to use it and found that it's not working.

I have a dual boot of Windows 10 and Ubuntu Mate and the webcam doesn't work in either OS.

The laptop came with Windows 8.1 and I upgraded to Windows 10. As I mentioned, I never used the webcam before so I don't know if it used to work before the upgrade.

In Windows device manager, the Imaging Devices option is missing.

http://bit.ly/1nU3WCt doesn't list any camera drivers for my laptop.

Does anyone know what could be the problem?
