I purchased my Acer E5-551G few weeks ago, I have noticed reduced performance of the laptop WHILE PLUGGED IN, and giving maximum performance WHILE ON BATTERY.
Steps taken
-Checked system power profiles
-Checked with CPU/GPU load/power monitoring software
-Checked with and without Acer ePower
-Checked with and without battery plugged in
-Checked all installed software
-Checked BIOS settings (none available for power control)
-Checked with Windows 8.1,10
System specifications:
-Windows 10 fully updated.
-Drivers and BIOS fully updated from Acer and manufacturer websites for Windows 10
-Laptop in perfect working condition. Purchased recently.
