I'm trying to troubleshoot a family members laptop. It's a windows 10 Aspire ES1-531-P3RD. The touchpad doesn't appear in the device manager so it's no good trying to install/uninstall drivers. I have accessed the BIOS and changed the touchpad settings to basic, tried using Fuction F7, and tried installing drivers from synaptics. Nothing has worked so far. I'm thinking the touchpad might be broken hardware, but I was wondering if there is anything else I can try?
