I have an ACER Aspire ES1 500 series Model N15C4. I have recently purchased an (unbranded) projector. The laptop only has a HDMI output but I cannot get the laptop and projector to connect. The laptop works with other devices and so does the projector but not together e.g.
ACER Laptop via HDMI to TV – working
Playstation3 via HDMI to projector – working
Old Dell laptop via VGA to projector – working
ACER laptop to projector – project displays “wrong format”
Any ideas?
