E1-572 won't go into sleep any longer

My Acer E1-572 will no longer go into sleep mode properly. Instead, the screen turns off, but the laptop remains running, fans spinning as well. It doesn't matter what buttons I press, the only way to get the PC back on is to hold down the power button and turn it off that way, then turn it back on.
