Additional SSD Install Aspire E15

OK, I installed a samsung 850 EVO M.2 ssd and I think I migrated the windows 10 operating system etc. to the ssd using the samsung migration tool, i went in and updated the bios boot to the ssd, but for some reason I can not get the operating system to boot from the SSD.  I want to keep the hdd for additional storage and would prefer to not disconnect it.  OK, I installed a samsunf 850 EVO M.2 ssd and I think I migrated the windows 10 operating system etc. to the ssd using the samsung migration tool, i went in and updated the bios boot to the ssd, but for some reason I can not get it to boot from the SSD.  I want to keep the hdd for additional storage.
