The screen on the notebook goes blank (like the computer is off) after using the touchpad, you can touch the touchpad and screen will turn back on for a second then turn back on, if you plug in an external usb mouse the screen will stay on and you can use the computer, but even with the usb mouse plugged in if you touch the touchpad the screen goes blank. I have restarted the computer and it made no difference.
