So I have never had an issue running games on my laptop. These include Eastside Hockey Manager (a text based simulator) as well as Roller Coaster Tycoon and Parkitect.
However I did have an issue where my laptop couldn't function without being plugged in to a power outlet. After months of searching for the fix, I finally found it in updating my BIOS, which solved the issue perfectly!
Laptop was seemingly running better than ever until I got back from vacation and suddenly can't run those games anymore. When I try, the frame rate drops to an unplayable level. This after the games running perfectly before hand.
If it matters I upgraded to the January 2016 BIOS update.
