Hello all,
I just installed centos to an SSD that is installed in the DVD tray of my Acer E5-573g. The only way I can get it to show up in the f12 boot menu is to follow this complicated procedure.
Boot to windows -> Run installer for latest bios version -> jump to bios before windows boot and enable f12 reboot -> reboot using f12 -> then able to see ssd and boot to centos.
As soon as I boot to windows I can no longer see the SSD in the f12 boot menu unless I flash the bio again. I thought maybe the UIEF (think thats what is called) was messing things up and tried legacy. In this mode, i was unable to get to the windows boot manager.
I am running Windows 10 (Original factory setup) and CentOs7
Any ideas?
