Aspire E 15 E5-575G Coil whine
Greetings, I have recently brought an Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-53VG from Amazon. I have noticed a fairly high pitch coil whine from the upper part of the trackpad. The whine is especialy noticble when the charger is unpluged or when the trackpad is touched. The coil whine is loudest the laptop is unpluged AND touchpad is touched.
I believe that I have the Synaptics touchpad but cannot comfirm, as device manager lists the touch pad as HID-compliant mouse.
As for Windows, I have fresh install windows 10 and applied the anniversary update.

E5-532 is extremely slow even for reading ebooks or for simple internet surfing
I bought a E5-532 a couple of weeks ago. I know that such computers are slow for playing games but it constantly lags for even simplest things. For example, it may take like 5 secs to load a simple webpage. Or it may take 3 seconds to go to the next page when reading PDF files. Takes a long time to open any programs. Is something wrong with my laptop or it is to be expected for this model?

i have acer aspire e1-571 laptop. one hinge of laptop is damaged so i remove all screw of laptop and i open the laptop. then i remove keyboard touchpad screen connection cable microphone and speaker. when i attach keyboard touchpad screen connection cable microphone and speaker.then all these stop working only display work. the other parts which i remove stop working.

Can I replace my DVD burner for HDD on Aspire E5-551G-T018 ?
Hi,
Recently I opened up my lapy acer aspire E5-551G-T018 in order to replace my 1TB HDD for 240GB SSD.
And now recently I saw on one website that there are these caddy's which can be used to replace DVD rom for additional HDD or SSD.
My laptop does have a DVD. It is held by just one screw in the back. The DVD rom does not have SATA connector but some smaller connector then SATA, I dont know its name.
What I was wondering is could it be possible to replace the DVD rom on this model for a caddy with my old HDD in it?
And if it is possible. Which thickness would I need for my future caddy?

Touchpad not working on aspire E5-551G-T018 on windows 10 (not a simple problem)
Hi everyone, I will bug your head a little with this touchpad problem
4days ago my touchpad stopped working! Just like that.
First I wanted to go in device manager and check for driver updates and etc but touchpad was not listed among the pointing devices, only my usb mouse was listed. After I would remove my usb mouse the entire tab for pointing devices would vanish. My touchpad just dissapeared.
In windows 10 settings, under mouse and touchpad controls there were no touchpad options either.
After googleing I found out that my lapy uses synaptic touchpad drivers. I tried instaling them and found them on two sources. One source had just 640kb for driver, I tried that one but it said that it was already installed. Then I found synaptic driver from the synaptic website and that one had 300mb drivers, that one installed but did nothing. Toucpad was stll not working.
Anyway before all this happened like a week before I was planning on buying a new SSD and installing win10 all over again. So after failing to fix touchpad I decided that it was time to do what I wanted for quite some time.
I went and bought brand new Patriot Blast 240GB SSD and replaced my old HDD. I booted my win10 os from DVD and started installation.
Hoping that whatever driver problem with my touchpad was would be fixed by removing the entire HDD along with the OS and installing everything new from the start.
But....
After win10 DVD loaded and instalation started. On the first windows instalation screen you get to choose the langunage, time zone and etc.
THERE WAS NO POINTER! Touchpad was not working, again!
I inserted my usb mouse and lucky me pointer appeared immediatly!
And after windows instalation, touchpad is still not working, in device manager there is no touchpad. But in windows 10 touchpad and mouse settings there is. In these win10 settings I can see touchpad and it is turned on.
Any ideas how to fix this? Is this software issue or did my touchpad die?

cloudbook sleep
when I put the Aspire One Cloudbook11 to "sleep"....I find when I open it hours later the battery drains. Is there a better setting when closing the lid so power is not lost when not in use?

Trying to replicate a Acer Cloudbook 11 on a further 3 Cloudbooks
I have purchased 4 Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 11 AO1-131-C726 Laptop 11.6" 2GB RAM
I've spent over half a day setting the first one up with guest account, anti virus, tidying up, backing up, etc and I'm now faced with the daunting task of setting up a further 3 of them.
Is there any way I can replicate the first one? I'm guessing one problem might be with Windows license but I'm guessing these can be updated if I somehow obtain their license first.
Can anyone advise please.

All default programs missing after windows 10 re install???
My laptop is an Acer aspire E 15 (E5-573T-P1LS)
So recently I decided to do a factory reset, I got towards the end and I kept getting an error message that the reset could not be completed. After that my laptop kept shutting off and restarting like it was stuck in an infinte reboot loop.
Nothing I tried worked so I downloaded windows 10 on an USB to reinstall windows and for the most part it's working now however none of the default programs that should have came with my laptop are there thats including all the acer related programs. Not even the MCafee anti virus. I was just wondering if theres a way for me to get them back some how?

Would like to replace dead hdd in an aspire E5-521-24PQ with a ssd
Recently the hdd in my aspire went out. So I went out and bought a ssd. Now my question is this: How do I install this drive and get it to be recognized? What Bios settings do I need to have setup? I'm going to be reinstalling Windows 8.1 again. The ssd is a Sandisk SSD Plus SDSSDA-240G. Much thanks for any help and guidance.

E5-511 never turns on the first time I power on
Hello, my E5-511 screen crashes every time i power on the first time. The acer logo appears, then the screen goes black but the computer is still going. I have to hold the power button to turn it off and then turn it back on again to get it to work. I did a power drain (removed the battery and held the power button for 15 seconds to remove all stored power) and then it worked properly for about 36 hours and then right back to this same problem. As well, it never sleeps, it just shuts down all the time and then i have to go through this nonsense to get it powered on again.
has anyone ever experienced anything like this before? thanks!!

Brand New Acer Aspire E5-573G-531D running very slow
Hello Guys,
Yesterday I received the laptop and install all the drivers from http://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/drivers .
Also all the windows updates by now are done with the latest update just 3 hours ago taking 1 hour.
But the laptop is very slow, thinks and slows when doing very simple things, like opening the start menu, typing in the question pole next to the start menu. The boot time is over 3 minutes for restart and start up. I want to believe that I have drivers for update or some that are not installed.
Windows 10 x64.
Intel Core I5-4210U 1.7to2.7GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 920M 2GB
8GB RAM
1TB HDD

Touchscreen stopped working
I have an Acer Aspire E1-430P, today my touchscreen stopped working.
I didn't receive an error, all updates are installed.
I read the manual but couldn't find any information; the internet isn't helping.

How do I make my speakers have the same loudness they have when the screen is off?
On my Aspire E5-575G I play music all the time. I had it playing for a while and then the screen backlight timed out and suddenly the computer got quite a bit louder and better sounding; however, when I woke it back up, the speakers went back to a much quieter and lower quality sound and some slight crackling. How do I fix this?

Aspire M5-583P-9688
I am using Windows 10. Have hooked up two different Canon multifunction devices (printer/scan/fax/copy) with drivers compatible with Windows 10. Printers work fine, but I cannot get the scanner function to work on either. When I called Canon Support, as a last ditch they had me go into Paint and click on File and select "From Scanner or Camera." Because the option is gray, they told me that the issue is with my computer and not with the printer.
I always thought the issue was the printer, but after installing the second one and getting the same disappointing result, I think the Canon tech is right. 
No clue how to proceed from here. Hoping it is a simple setting change somewhere??
