Upgrade of window 7 to window 10
I have a Acer Laptop Aspire E1-571. Can the window 7 in it be upgraded to window 10 offered by Microsoft ? E1-571 is not on the Acer list supported for an upgrade to window 10 in line with MicroSoft's regulatioins. Thanks Sen.

Aspire E15-575G-53VG touchpad (ELANtech) settings / device missing?
I purchased a brand new Aspire E15-575G-53VG less than a week ago, and I went to the Acer website to download drivers for it to make sure everything was as it should be. I noticed that, after installing the touchpad driver (learned that I have the ELANtech touchpad, not the Synaptics one) and rebooted, there were no additional settings for the touchpad anywhere in the Mouse Properties panel. Later that day, I shut down the laptop and it installed some Windows 10 updates, and when I rebooted, I noticed the ELAN tab had suddenly appeared, however my touchpad does not show in the list of devices:
Does anyone know how to address this? I would very much like to tweak a few of the settings for the touchpad, but as you can see, even after installing the driver and letting Windows Update partially fix the tab not even appearing, the device is still not listed for whatever reason.
I should add this is still a very fresh machine, only used it for maybe a couple hours max, no external devices plugged in (including mice).

Need Help Adding 2nd HDD and Memory To Aspire E5-575G
I just received my Aspire E5-575G Signature Edition. So far it's great but I bought a 2nd HDD to add. I read reviews saying it has a 2nd empty bay just for that as well as an extra memory slot (I bought another 8 GB stick for that).
I have look online and every video I see saying they are working on the model I have looks very different from the one I own. There is no removable battery on the bottom. It does have an access panel with 3 screws and vents ports on this panel right under the touch-pad. There is a notch on one corner at the top right of the panel but when I removed the screws this thing does not want to budge at all. I don't want to force anything. I am really frustrated though at the lack of ease for this simple upgrade task.
Does ANYONE have this same laptop, know how to access/remove this panel safely or know where I can find hard info that shows if these empty ports/slots/bays do for sure exist?

Can't connect my Aspire switch 10 to the internet. Running Windows 10.
Apparently my Broadcom 802.11 SDIO adapter is not compatible with Windows 10. There are 2 wireless adapters on my computer and neither work. Do I need to download a new adapter to a flash drive and install on the computer? If so can you recommend the correct adapter?

Aspire ES1 Windows 7 network/wireless driver help
Hey guys, I just inunstalled windows 10 and installed windows 7, however it seems as though all of the network drivers are missing.

Aspire E1 - cursor jumps all over the place and will even delete items....HELP!!!!
I own an Aspire E1-731. I have problems with the cursor jumping all over the place. It will even delete items that I have typed. These are completely at random and with no warning.
For example - I type 125 wpm, this message just took me almost 5 minutes to type!

My Laptop don't boots.
Hey.
My laptop dont boots, when I press the power key the power led lights up and hard drive led comes up just for 2 seconds ans goes off but there is no display , It fan is also working.
It boots in two conditons:
- When i take out the battery and ram stick and reinsert them.
- When I take out the battery and press the power key for 60 seconds.
But when I shut it down and try to turn it on the problem is still there. I have also tried to change the ram stick . And updated the bios .

Acer E5-532-P68K - Battery
Hey guys, just a quick question, not necessarily related to my laptop but to all laptops:
My friend told me today that when you plug in your laptop to charge, if the battery fills up, the energy from the charger goes directly to the laptop, not wasting the ~400 charges a laptop battery usually lasts. So, according to him, it is better to always plug your laptop in then you're working and you have a plug cause you won't waste battery charges. Is this true??

Dead USB Ports on my ES1-512 Laptop
Last week the two USB ports (1 x USB3.0 and 1xUSB2.0) appeared to stop functioning. I had my wireless mouse and keyboard transceiver plugged into the USB3.0 port and after removing it to take my laptop away from the office and then returning and plugging the transceiver back in the port(s) didn't work. I did notice when I started the laptop that it did continue a Windows update. I have subsequently removed the update but the ports still did not work.
I changed the battery in the mouse but that didn't help. I then moved the transceiver to the USB2.0 port but that appeared dead as well. Moving the transceiver to the left hand side USB2.0 port showed that there was nothing wrong with the transceiver and indeed a check of a USB stick also in that port showed the same behaviour namely, the two ports at the rear wouldn't work but the left hand side port would function normally.
I have disabled and uninstalled the USB Host Controllers in the Device Manager (Windows 10) and restarted the laptop but nothing there helped.
Last night I reset the Windows 10 OS using the Win10 recovery option and that hasn't helped anyting really, except...... when I plugged in a USB 1TB Western Digital disk drive to either of the rear ports Windows 10 recognised this and showed me all the drives that I had created! But when I swapped it out for a mouse/keyboard transceiver or other USB peripheral the system didn't recognise it.
Before I return the laptop under warranty, does anyone know what might be causing this?

Aspire E 15 E5-575G-53G won't connect to certain Wi-Fi points. Atheros issue, or defective?
Brand new E5-575G-53VG here, Windows 10, all up to date (just got today).
Will connect to some Wi-Fi access points just fine (Linksys at home, LG G4 Phone Hotspot), but not others (SonicWall TZ215W Firewall Wi-Fi and TP-Link WR-841ND it seems to fail to associate.
Really bizarre. Tried the latest drivers, tried older (11.0.0.492) drivers I found around this site, and tried with the built-in driver (seems to come with Windows 10) for the device -- all with the same result. Windows Event viewer seems to show it failing to associate, then Windows takes the initiave to disable/enable the adapter, and it never works. I was trying to download some software online. There was some problems in downloading.
When I asked the supplier of that software (trusted source), he advised me that I do not have control of my computer.
He suggested that I need to go to properties of the c drive, properties, click permission for all users on the computer. I tried doing that but the computer refuses to grant me control. I have an acer aspire. Can you please help?
