Acer Aspire E won't give me the wifi option,
Hello, for the past four years my Acer has worked lovely! It let me connect smoothly to any wifi, I could game, however my computer in the last month hasn't let me connect to any sort of wifi!
It won't even give me a wifi option! There's always been a wifi option! And I've loved it! Now it's offering only a Ethernet? I've never even heard of this, let alone have a cable for it.
I'm upset that my Acer isn't working with Internet when I don't understand why it stopped in the first place. I would love some help

Where is cmos jumper on an acer aspire e1-522 motherboard
Cant find the cmos jumper, friend of mine thought it would be funny to put a bios password and has forgotten it now I have a useless laptop. Cannot find the location of the cmos jumper anywhere and the one place it does tell me on the internet isnt even the right laptop. HELP!!

Aspire M5-851t: touchpad and mouse not working.
OS = Windows 7 Home. I have MS Office 2010 on my Aspire. But, I need to install Office 2007 / Access 2007 to test compatibility. But, once I installed Office 2007 both the USB mouse and touchpad stopped working. I tried a system recover, but the recovery failed for some reason.
I have uninstalled all of the MS Office products, but I still have the same problem.
I installed the latest Acer touchpad and mouse dirvers, but no joy. It is interesting to note that I can remotely access the Aspire and the remote mouse and touchpad work just fine.
I have also tried a Windows 7 repair, but it doesn't do the normal repair process. It asks if I want a repair, and it then opens a crude DOS app that will only do a restore or a startup fix.
I checked the Windows logs and alert and didn't see anything related to this issue.

I have an Aspire E15. The speed of the processor is being limited by system firmware
The computer is an E5-573G-52G3 with Windows 10, 8GB RAM, Intel Core i5-5200U
According to the Windows 10 event log warning messages:
The speed of processor 0 in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 86400 seconds since the last report.
There is the same message for each processor. This message shows up once a day and 86400 seconds is 24 hours so the processor speed is always limited. I thought it was slow to boot. It takes about 3 minutes to boot up and has been slow since I got it a little over a month ago.
There are several other warnings and errors in the event log. I was looking into it because the computer has rebooted itself several times even though I have set Windows update to ask when I want to reboot. The event log says that the reboots are unexpected.
I would like to know what causes the processor speed to be limited by firmware. Please help.

Windows 7 All Drivers Download for Acer Aspire ES1-520-593A
Hi,
i recently bought an Acer Aspire ES1-520-593A that came with Windows 10,
i searched for the drivers for win 7 but i could only find them for win 8.1 & win 10.
I was wondering if you can put them on your site for win 7 x64 bit ?
Why? Because i realy don't like to work with win 8 or 10 and win 7 runs much better on a stability point of view, i still use win 7 on all my other computers and it is still much better in performance.
So can anybody help to find the drivers (all of them) so i can make a clean win 7 x64 bit install?

Aspire ES1 - 512 Entering Password Problem
Can really use some help here, we bought this laptop for my daughter about a month ago, maybe a month and a half.
Lately, she has had trouble when she boots it up, she can't type in her password, the cursor works, the touchpad works, but when you try and enter the password, nothing happens,

Aspire 5742-6602: Upgrade to i7 from i5

I am new in this forum, I would like your help for upgrading my laptop. Firstly, my laptop was shuting down by overheating. After I clean it from the dust, again the same problem. Then, I changed the thermal paste, but problem continue. I decide to change the processor. Well, my current cpu is i5-480M with Socket G1/rPGA988A and motherboard is intel hm55 (ibexpeak-m dh). windows upgrade to 10 reverted back to 8.1 now most everything that was working fine no longer works
so very disappointed i had just gotten my computer to the point i had all the bugs fixed and it was functioning the way i wanted it to.. then i had to go to that stupid little pop up for windows 10 after ignoring it for over 6 months why on earth did I go and do that after finally getting my laptop where i wanted it .
forced me to remove the second account and stick to only an admin account cause i had to log in numerous times and it became annoying to enter a pin every time..
i dont have any cds with any information on it to fix soluto or to update my software and help trouble shoot where my issues are
I hate windows 10 too much junk and change.. didnt work was slow as all get out and now after a year of tweaking my laptop; it is lost cause it is worse off than when i bought it..
I should never update i wish i had known how to turn off that blasted pop up asking me to update and it kept trying to download..
forever hating the new stuff want it back to the original 8.1
but how i dont have any software disc
does any one know how to get the stuff back on it ,,, i am old school used to inserting a disc and recovering not sure i have a thumbdrive large enough to hold all my data on it either
Also I tried to post in the windows 10 forum but it will not allow me to reply so i am stuck here my more detailed information on my computer is System Serial Number: NXM81AA0253420CABD6600 and also discovered preforming a Belarc Advisor scan that one of my memory cards is not recognized not sure if this is due to windows 10 or not but i will check next time i shut down and see if it just needs to be reseated .. I HOPE this is a night mare and very disappointing to say the least and being polite about it

aspire E1 572P error on windows 10 pro states your graphics device does not support overlay
I have a home security system I tried to install the PCI Viewer program so i can make a disk of some vandels destroying my mailbox when i try to use the program i get an Error message that says (your graphics device does not support overlay) I have updated my drivers still same message i have even went to intel to get drivers as well but no good how can i fix this.

My Aspire E 11 has no bootable device after screen change.
Hi I changed a damage screen on my notebook and since have had no bootable device. The HDD is not recognised by the notebook. Ive tried all the bios settings I can and checked all connections. Not showing on the bios menu but did come up once for a hard drive password that I have never set. It was all working fine prior to the broke screen. The acre logo comes on for around 7 seconds then no bootable device comes up. With the hdd removed the no bootable device comes up almost straight away.

E1-531 Wifi consistancy
I have a year old refurbished E1-531. When I connect to my home wifi, the computer says it is connected with full bars. I can access gmail and facebook, but any other website says the webpage is not available, that the connection timed out.
The wifi works fine on all other devices connected to the network. I have tried resetting the network; this hasn't helped.
I've tried logging in and out of the network on my Acer. This hasn't helped.
I've tried using both internet explorer and google chrome. Neither work.
I can still fully use the internet through wifi on friends' and library networks on this Acer.
Somehow, the combination of my wifi and my computer isn't working--all other combinations seem to work fine. Is there some way I can fix this?

DVD Burner Won't Burn

Hello, apologies in advance if this is not the right posting location. Since upgrading to Windows 10 my DVD Burner will not burn. It reads fine but it will not burn across various different methods whether its imgburn or convertxtodvd. Any help appreciated! Thanks!

Can I get windows 7 drivers for my acer e5-771g laptop? there are lots of problems with OS 8 and 10.
I bought a E5 771. But I am not feeling well with the OS 8.1. there are also some problem with the OS even when upgraded to OS 10.
I cannot find the drivers for win7 on acer website.
I am wondering if you can provide the drivers for win7. Or I can download the OS 8 drivers to be used on win 7.

Denmark - Acer Aspire E1-571
Hi
I'm introducing my self - non-tech female from Denmark, sitting with €%&/()= computer which I let a friend use for a few weeks and now it is so filled with virus and games, and shopping stuff that it does not work.
I have back up of everything and just want to restore factory settings, but here on the forum, it says that technical support should be postede in technical forums - where is that?

My problem is, the computer does not reboot like it so easily does in the video. It goes straight to the startup page where I have to log in- ohhh and did I mention my friend also managede to change the language of the computer to SPANISH!!!
So - please, anybody, somebody - how do I delete everything from my computer, and get it back to nice clean zero?

Aspire E1-470P Keyboard stopped working
Hello, need some help please. My daughter's Aspire E1-470P keyboard stopped working completely. Not one of the keys will respond, however the onboard mouse works fine. It is running Windows 10. This happened once before and a reboot fixed it, not so this time. After many reboots still doesn't work.
Please help. Thank you.
