Acer Aspire E-15, E5-575G-52DA How many RAM slots?
I have an Aspire M5 that is not bootable. I ordered and received recovery discs from Acer. When I boot using UEFI mode, I get the following error message... "Please boot this Recover Disc uusing legacy BIOS mode." When I boot using legacy BIOS mode, I get this error message... "Restore Fail: This recovery system can only be used on "UEFI" mode. Please press "OK" to restart the system immediately." I attached screen shots of both. My guess is something else is wrong that a recovery disc can't fix. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to proceed? Thanks!
hi
I bought this acer aspire about 2 months ago. I have updated all its drivers to 2017 versions.
I have a problem with it freezing. It does this at any time about 3 times a day with no particular software running. It seems to either have a problem with the bios or a fan hardware malfunction as it seems to overheat.
Do you have a bios ver later than 2015, that I can flash. I keep hearing about bios 2.07 ver but have never found it. The bios updates for this motherboard are from 2015.
I am running win 10 Pro 64 2017.
Hi colleagues, good morning
I have a notebook model F5-573G-71BW (Aspire F 16), with processor i7 - 7a Generation, 16Gb (Ram) and 2T of HDD.
I wonder if I can install the M.2 Optane 16 GB memory (Intel). This memory is of type 3D Xpoint, released between 2016 and 2017 and I do not know if my motherboard supports this technology.
Thank you
Fabio

I just bought an Acer laptop a month ago.
this computer ,well , acts kind of weird . the battery full charge capicity changes like crazy (I check using HWmonitor,BatteryMon and powercfg/batteryreport in cmd-all three give the same result).
sometimes it goes up, sometime goes down . from 1% lost in full charge to 3% and back to 1%. 1% in one month means I will lose only about 12% in a year ,but 3% is a different story . and more ,in each battery report made by powercfg/batteryreport ,there is a chart called Battery capacity history .Here is one from July 28th :
Battery capacity history

I have purchased a laptop E5-575 series 2 months back. It keeps on freezing when i use anything on it specially google chrome . ANother problem is its touchpad is unresponsive at times and i cant do copy paste function.
I have an Acer E5-574-543R running the latest version of Windows 10 64bit with the latest drivers from the website. My problem is that if the laptop goes to sleep or even have the screen turn off I can not wake the system up. I tried pressing buttons, closing and opening the lid but nothing happens. I know the system is running because the indicator light is on, and I head the fan spinning. The only solution for this is to hard restart the machine (long press the power button until it shuts down and restart)
This problem started with the first major Windows 10 update (Anniversary update) before that I had no problems now I am on the Creators update and it is still broken.
Does anyone have a solution for this please? I had a similar issue on a desk PC before, I solved that with a fresh install of the Intel Management Engine Interface driver but that does not seems to be available for this laptop.
Let me know if you need any more information, many thanks.

Good day,
Notebook is stuck in "automatic repair" loop and just continues to "automatic repair" (blue screen) every time we try to restart.
"Significant" event before this happened:
Morning - installed kaspersky lab anti virus
Evening - boot up error
Action taken:
-cannot boot to safe mode to try to repair/disable.
-refreshed pc but failed, checked the logs and root cause: bad hard disk. Ran chkdsk /r and was successful. restarted but still in loop
-turn off pc for 1 day, restarted but now stucked in "diagnosing your pc" screen (did not enter automatic repair screen)
Planned next action: (I want to hear your suggestion first to add on this list)
-disable automatic repair thru cmd (can this be done without windows 8.1 disc?)
-disassemble and re-assemble notebook
-reset PC (last resort) (any way to get files back?)
Thanks in advance.
Next to try
For everyone still using an Acer Aspire M5-581T (6807): this laptop still works with the Windows 10 Creators Update.
Acer published a list of all Creators Update compatible devices ( https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/windows10-creators-update ). Though the M5-581T is not on there, i can tell that i had no issues with software, drivers, etc. after this update installed itself.
Ps. This is not a request for help, but just information. I searched like dozens of websites (Acer and non-Acer) before installing this update and found nothing for the entire M5-series. So just wanted to share with fellow M5-users.
Can I upgrade my RAM from 4GB into 8GB? If so, how? Do you recommend it? What is the pros and cons of doing it?
I want to increase the 4gb DDR4 RAM to 8gb to work with some heavy softwares. If the warranty does not get void, does acer themselves provide RAM upgradation? Any help would be appreciated.
I have had my acer ES1-711 for almost 2 years & i check for updates & it always says its up to date seems hard to believe, any help ? im running windows 10 64 bit
