Hello i just bought this laptop and it came in the mail on Monday. I ran all the updates available and searched every bug fix on the web but still my CPU randomly goes up to 99% and i lose al control of the touchpad and keyboard. All troubleshooting websites say that this is because of a faulty battery. Any solution to this bug would greatly appreciated because i this product is very enjoyable when running properly.

I'm a Moldy oldy, not a young Techie, so keep it simple.
I have an Aspire E17 ES-774-34ET Laptop.
It appears that I have forgotten my password, so I cannot log onto my laptop.
I am 99% sure that I have not forgotten my password, it is (to me) an easily remembered 9 figure Alphanumeric code..but the Macine says otherwise.
When I try to reset my password, the M/c asks for a removable media such as a USB flash drive..Which I do not have.
Help... Please.
What do I do next?.

Acer ES1-111 Display Issues
Just a couple of days ago I went to turn the computer on and the display was black. I can still see text and images on the screen when I hold a light up to it, but theres absolutely no backlight. Tried replaicing the display with a brand new part and still the same issue so I know it has to be something internal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Aspire E5-573G boots up but no display
Hi,
Till last night my laptop was working just fine. But this morning when I pressed the power button, the power LED did turn on and it beeps as I connect the charger cable but there is no display. Not even getting the Acer logo on screen. Tried many times. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Aspire ES 15 hard drive fail (internation)
Hi, I'm an active duty member over sea in Korea.
I've purchased Aspire ES 15 in PX about a month ago and got an 0xc000185 which is usually a hardware error.
I took my laptop to local acer service center, but they said my laptop is over sea (US) product and they can't do anything about my laptop.
In this case, how can I fix my laptop since I'm stationed here in korea until next year and my warranty for laptop will expire within a year?
Do acer have international mailing and fix service?...

Acer ES1-531-C1GF 99% CPU bug
Can anyone help me i bought this new laptop have only had it for 4 days and it's had this problem pretty much since the start. I don't even have to be doing anything for it to happen i've sad here with nothing but Task Manager open and watched the CPU usage go to 99%. If i'm trying to surf the web it does it alot and it won't let me type or use the touch pad for around a minute. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Screen Broke after less than 4 months of use. [Acer Aspire E-15, E5-575G-53VG]
I have had this laptop since the beginning of April, and yet the screen seems to have broken by the right hinge, as well as along the bottom and side of the monitor, where the black frame has disconnected from the actual display. I cannot move the monitor without the frame from snapping out of place, and also have difficulty opening the laptop without holding the plastic in place and using force. I have no idea what has prompted this malfunction as I have not touched the laptop since yesterday, when it was working completely fine. Since this has happened after such a short amount of time I was wondering if this is a common occurence, and mostly whether there is a way to fix this.

How to flash BIOS without Windows - Aspire F5-572G
First I'll explain why I'm trying to flash my BIOS.
I dual-boot Windows 10 and a Ubuntu distro, Lubuntu. Lubuntu was experiencing "internal problems". One day I decided to reboot, and I was presented with this screen:
Failed to open \EFI\Boot\grubx64.efi - Not Found
Failed to load image \EFI\Boot\grubx64.efi - Not Found
Failed to start MokManager : Not Found
Failed to open \EFI\Boot\grub64x.efi - Not Found
Failed to load image \EFI\Boot\grubx64.efi : Not Found
start_image() returned Not Found
Or something like that. A few seconds after an image of a lock shows up and underneath it says, "Security Boot Fail". I was unable to access my operating systems. Using the F12 screen didn't help, either. It would try to boot through Grub.
So I decided to check things out in the BIOS. I tried to trust some things with Secure Boot(I think) and change boot order. It didn't make any difference.
Except that the next time I logged into the BIOS,I couldn't get to lots of the options , they were as black as the text on the information page. The third time I think it reduced my options even more. Both user and HDD passwords are set to 'clear', but the supervisor password is set. I thought of all the possible combinations that I could've entered as supervisor password, but I couldn't remember it and didn't get lucky. Also, in the middle of this mess Ubuntu went and disappeared from the F12 menu and boot order in the BIOS. When i had first installed the distro, Acer wouldn't recognize lubuntu, and I had to do some things in the BIOS that I can't remember.
Luckily, I could still boot Ubuntu from a live USB. I tried running boot-repair(reinstall Grub), which returned success. I tried to reboot, but I didn't get a friendlier screen. So I decided to flash my BIOS.
The problem is is that Acer's BIOS flash utilities are all .exe files, and of course I can't access Windows. I don't want to risk using Wine and after searching on the internet for hours, I haven't found a solution for flashing my BIOS without Windows but with only a .exe file.
So I've laid out my problem in front of you. Please let me know if you think BIOS flashing is completely unnecessary, but until now it seems my best lead to finding a solution to this, since changing boot order or turning off secure boot might bring me closer to solving my problem. Thanks
The problem with flashing my BIOS is that all the Acer BIOS versions flash through a .exe, which requires Windows to use. I don't have access to WIndows on that computer, though, nor my other installed OS. I don't want to run through Wine in case something goes wrong(as often does with Wine).

Acer Aspire F5-573 keeps switching off randomly
Hi everyone
I got this laptop around 6 weeks ago and haven't experienced any issues until yesterday, when the laptop decided to switch itself off. It didn't come up with a message saying it was shutting down, it just turned off without warning. It happened again just a moment ago and I'm hoping someone will have an answer and/or solution to the issue. The laptop wasn't on charge at the time, it didn't feel like it was overheating and I wasn't doing much other than watching a youtube video with facebook opened in another tab.
Can anyone help out?

Hey everyone. I require assistance. 2 days ago, my laptop was working fine. I played GTA V for a few hours (in game mode) and turned off my laptop in sleep mode. The next day I tried turning it on no results. Today I tried turning it on and still no results. Now I've had similar circumstances with this laptop before where it'd take a few power button clicks to turn it on, but it wasn't anything this serious. I always charge my laptop whether or not I'm using it. I did some of the methods, do a soft reset for a few seconds and tried to do pinhole internal battery method with a toothpick (my battery is no removable). I'm starting to think it has something to do with the motherboard. But just in case I end up spending $45 or more for nothing, I'd like to see what other options there are. Help would be appreciated!

ACER Aspire ES 15 Connects to WiFi, but "No Internet"
Hi All,
Looking for someone who could help. Seeing that there have been similar issues such as mine i tried the suggested fixes but still could not connect to the internet.
Just had the fiber optic router connection installed and have actually used my laptop via wifi to set up their service. It all worked fine until I tried using the LAN port option. It worked (it's actually what I'm using now to log this) using the LAN connection but as soon as I disconnected the LAN cable and opted to use the laptop via wifi connection I immediately got a message saying "No internet/connected". The router doesn't seem to have a problem as all other devices could connect in a breeze (including my old Aspipreone).
Could somebody help please.

IE 11 crashing on Aspire E5-575G
I recently purchased my wife a new Aspire E5-575G and she really loves it except for the fact that Internet Explorer keeps crashing several times for day. The only software we've added to the PC after purchase was Microsoft Office 365 and Norton Security. There doesn't seem to be any commonality between when it crashes she's been on different websites and it's happening during different times of the day. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

USB 3.1 Type C Vey Slow, No Drivers In System
I have recently bought 2 weeks age an Aspire E-15. ES-523-93TU. AMD A9 7th edition, Windoes 10
I am begining to think it was a BIG mistake.
It is very, very slow in starting up and moving from page to page, folder to folder, the cooling fan is working full speed nearly all the time and the USB 3.1 Type C is no faster at transfering files than the normal USB 3.
When I have looked in the "System" folder there are no USB drivers for 3.1, only 3.0, surly this can't be correct?
Anybody know if drivers are available for 3.1? I have searched but nothing found.

ACER ASPIRE ES 14 suddenly turns off with a click sound
Hello Guys Please Help me
I bought my Acer Aspire ES 14, 4 months ago, usually im using my laptop for just a short time around 2 or 3 hours and it works just fine, However, recently when i was watching a movie 1 hour later it suddenly turned off with a clicking sound, but i can turn it back on again when i click the power button. This happened again when i was playing a computer game for 2 hours, it turned off with a clicking sound. I am worried that this might happen suddenly when im working on something important.

ACER E5-411-C1Y4 DVD driver won't open and eject
It opened once then I insert a disk and tried to watch it. Unfortunately, it wasn't read and suddenly I can't eject it. The button is not also working so I used a paperclip and got the disk out. I tried it again but the process is still the same. I tried several ways to solve the problem like updating the driver, reinstalling it, troubleshooting, but neither of them solve my problem. Can anyone help me? Your help will be much appreciated.
