Hi, I bought this laptop and I think that this model is special for my region (CL-LA). So, due to the lack of documentations I don't know the max amount of ram to upgrade it.
The specs are:
CPU: i5 7200U
GPU: GeForce 940MX (1gb)
RAM: 8GB DDR4
Do all 575G laptops come with the same motherboard? How can I get a clue of my laptop maximum memory?

sent in a 7 mo. old laptop for repair to the acer mississauga repair centre and they told me that they found, of all things oil inside the unit! i was stunned to hear this, as i did not spill anything into the unit. the two options they gave me after informing me that the unit could not be repaired, were to have the unit shipped back to me or have it replaced at a cost. when i called i found out that this "cost" amounted to be more than what i paid for it on dec.30/16, which was $450. the unit was shipped back to me. when i opened the box and inspected the unit, i did notice some kind of oil present. also i noticed that unlike the instructions to me concerning shipping, the box which they used had only a cardboard insert inside, and no bubble wrap or really anything to protect the laptop. made a couple more calls to try and get some fair resolution to this to no avail, and when i asked the agent to provide me a corporate address to file a complaint, she said that she would email this to me, but no email was ever sent. i've purchased several acer products in the past and never encountered any issues, but the first issue (unit stopped working and hard drive making clicking noise) i encountered resulted in this nightmare, where basically i have paid $450 and gotten 7 months worth of usage from a laptop. needless to say, after this experience, i will never even contemplate purchasing another acer product, and dissuade anyone i know from doing likewise. interested to find out if anyone else has had a bad experience with acer concerning warranty issues such as this. any ideas would be appreciated................thanks!
I got the laptop nearly a month ago and decided to downgrade to Windows 8.1 and the touchpad doesn't work, I was wondering if there are certain drivers because I could only find the Windows 10 drivers.

it has very slow disk transfer rate (eg:from drive E to drive D)like only ranging from 16mbps to 35mbps

Actually, My Laptop's wifi adapter is not working. I have tried everything. The major problem is network adapter in device manager even not detecting the wlan driver. So i had installed the Wireless LAN_Broadcom_7.35.267.0_W10x64_(Liteon) for my laptop. installed it. but nothing happened. and device manager still not showing the wlan driver and if i use the wifi catcher its working. if anybody can help me??

I have an Acer Aspire E15 and want to remove the M2 SSD that comes from factory and install on another non-Acer laptop. When I did that, on the non-Acer laptop it was not reconized. I belive the SSD is protected on the Acer laptop. How can I remove the SSD protection so it will work on the non-Acer laptop.

My laptop was working fine till Wed. Wednesday night is was not charging properly I thought it might just be sometime trivial.
Thursday morning I cannot charge it at all so I thought it was a charger problem. So I bought a temporary new charger from targer which did not work either. So I opened my laptop to see if anything is physically damaged since I only recetly installed new RAM.
Weirdly it started charging out of nowhere. Thursday night I put my laptop back together and it started charging just fine. So I don't think the problem is with the charger or the battery.
So basically now the laptop charges only sometimes and even when it does I have to keep adjusting and moving the power cord when it is plugged into my laptop.
Please suggest what to do. I have exams coming very soon

After the last update, it seems that my HD Webcam does not work anymore. I've tried to use it with several programmes including Skype and Windows Camera, but neither of them is able to start the camera.
Is it possible to download new drivers for this hardware? Where can I find them??

Is this model a discontinued one or something? (i.e support for this model is no longer provided), if not where can I find the Win10 drivers for this?

My Acer laptop turns off automatically without any warning. I check the event viewer and it marks this event as critical and says "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly" and the source is the "Kernel power". I purchased this laptop like 10 months ago and this may be the 3rd or 4th time I am encountering this. I am monitoring core temperatures which vary between 48 C and 53 C. When the laptop went off, i tried hitting the power button but it didnt boot up. I then plugged in the original AC adapter (the only one which I use) and then tried booting it up which it did. I updated the BIOS, since the one I had was outdated. Fingers crossed for now, but still need help for this since this is completely unexpected.
My laptop was repaired 2 times!
First it was the hinges
Second was the keyboard (after the hinges some of my keys are not working so it's fault.)
Now it's the same issue! AND THE SAME KEYS TOO!
IS IT AN HARDWARE ISSUE?
Any help would be appreciated.
