I bought a E-15 series, mod E5-551G-T1BP in PC Factory in my country 3 years ago (Chile). It seems to be a long time to talk about this problem, but i think that people diservs to know what is Acer before buying a computer or any electronic s#!t because things are not cause the exponential bad function of my notebook. When i bought, the machine emitted a very low sound of electricity. I heard at the time i was checking if had any problems of hardware o software. I asked to the manager if that was normal and he tell me that that noise was tipical for computers. I belived; probably the very first mistake. Weeks later the computer start presenting failures like no processing the graphics of a game properly when the requirements were far below the specs. Also my programs of edition stay stick, so i had to restart every time to run the program properly. There was one night that i worked all the night with no sleeping because this computer worked so bad. I restarted it at least 30 times in the night. I thought it was the OS (Windows 8.1, 64 bits), so i didn t go to claim it. So i didn t do it, i lost my 1 year warranty. Windows 10 appeared, i updated it expecting that my problems will go away, but when i did it my notebook present new problems, like desappearing some buttons from the interface, more frozen screen, and auto-restarts from nowhere. I updated it again but still the computer couldn t run the programs properly. All the time the programs closed, froze, and in the screen start appearing lines black and white lines, blinking. Throught the time those lines increased and appeared more and more. So i had to fix it, because i couldn t see anything. I sent it to Acer official technical service. They fixed it but after the 3 months warranty new screen problems appeared! I am so lucky. This time the screen go off and show me lines of all colors. To see again i had to shut down the screen putting the computer to sleep. That i do it pressing the "sleep" button or closing the notebook. Untill know i have that problems, so i can t take out my notebook because if a move the screen 1 milimeter the lines appear again. Even worst, while i am writting this start appearing squares of diferent colors on my screen, a new problem, wonderfull!! Anyway, some programs that i used from the other year now i cant used because my driver cant run it, that after a year using it "properly", know i cant even open it. That means bad greades because of Acer, thaks. In terms of quality, i belived this materials used to the exterior parts of the notebook are the worst, the weakest plastic ever know. And the manufacture horrible, it sound all the time and when the screen crashes the screen start emitting new sounds. I dont belive that in some times that i had only one page open in chrome with no other program or process (instead the antivirus) and the whole OS frozes, that means that i cant even open the task manager, it is fault of the OS. Problems that happen to anyone with a notebook of 3 years use: Battery, cables, mouse-pad, keyboard, etc... Nothing of that happened to me because i know how to look after a computer. I had a Sony Vaio before this s#$t and run perfect. That I had it for 5 years, thats great quality. I am not expecting any offer, i want to make people know about the REAL ACER products. I am planning to create a social campaing to destroy the sells of Acer at least here in Chile and I am sure i will achive it. This note, i bought it withthe savings of my life. When i buy a new computer i will not sell this, i am will destroy it with my own hands, and burn it until disappears. I still cant run programs, games (any installed game), watch videos, move it, hopefully touch it very slowly, etc; with a 1,9 Ghz processor, 2 GB video card and 4 GB RAM.

Can't Delete a File/Folder in D:drive

Hopefully I am posting on the correct Board....I couldn't find anything for Aspire E 15 laptops.

 

Anyhow, I downloaded a file. Now for some reason, it is showing as being stored on d:drive.....but I do not have a d:drive that I know of because I don't have anywhere to actually insert a disk.

 

I cannot delete this file. When I try to delete it from files it says that it is open somewhere else. When I search for it, I see it in d:drive but when I right click on it it doesn't give me the option to delete. It gives me options such as "eject" which is hilarious because I don't have a disc tray on this laptop.

 

Someone please help! This file is taking up over 5 gb of space and I want it gone!!

flashing battery lights

Hello,

 The battery lights on my laptop the acer e5 continue to flash non stop even when the laptop is turned off. The other functionalities of the laptop seem unaffected and the charge seems to be holding. Even now the computer says
I have 90% charge and yet the lights continue to flash. I would like to know if there is an issue with the battery or some other problem that the lights indicate that I am unaware of or if its a simple malfunction of the lights. Any response would be great.

E5-771 crash while going to sleep

Hello,

 

for a few weeks I gave Windows 10 a try on my E5-771. Since then after working some time and then hit the power button (set to "send to sleep") the display turns black. The corresponding LED stays blue instead blinking red. To start again I have to hold the power button until hard shutdown and hit him again to start finally.

 

The Event Viewer shows nothing but "unexpected shutdown".

 

I googled a lot and tried a lot but can't find a solution until now.

 

I installed Windows 10 complete fresh, update Win and all driver with Windows Update

Installed newest driver from Acer Download Center incl. BIOS

At least I tried! For the video driver I got a message "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropiate driver from the computer manufacturer." How could I be possible that a driver from the manufacturer download center is not valid for its own product???

 

I tried a lot of other things suggested in different community boards but nothing works.

 

Sadly I can't find any information on my system why it chrashed or freezed.

 

Found anyone a solution? Or do not use everyone Win 10 on this system?

Hi there I'm having trouble with my new Acer Aspire ES 15 I unboxed it last night and powered up it was working totally fine asked for region details and wifi connectivity all seemed normal was just a matter of waiting for the installation to complete the laptop restarted and I thought great it's installing it all came back on perfectly fine and then a blue screen appeared with 'just a moment...' I thought great its installing as the manual said it would take 30mins so I waited and waited I gave up after 2hrs I tried again in the morning the laptop comes on loads up and then comes up as a blue screen with 'just a moment' in the centre I haven't even seen the desktop or anything else no other option appears it's just the blue screen I would really love if someone could give me some suggestion to get this working Thank you!

hi,

im having a really big problem... Im using my lap top for 3 years now, and every thing was working fine... until my wifi started having some problems. my wifi is working fine when i boot my computer, but if i enter google, leauge of legends or other games... i disconect after 5 minutes, beacuse i cannot connect to the wfi anymore. i tried to update my drivers, did not work... help please

I wanted to restore my laptop with erecovery and did not create a recovery usb before wiping my c drive, very dumb of me. Now i've talked to Acer and got media recovery dvds, however when the process is complete I still get the 0xc000000f error. How do i fix what ever is wrong?

Hello everyone! I own an Acer E15 E5-575G-53W6 and I'm quite happy with it. However, the screen is horrible, not only is the resolution not full HD but the screen colors and viewing angles are just terrible. I've been thinking of updating to a full HD screen but I have no idea which to buy or if my cable will even be compatible with a 1080p screen.

The current screen model is: NT156WHM-N32 V8.0

The current cable model apparently is: DD0ZAALC011 Rev: 3

I'll also attach a picture of the cable model number.

 

So my question is, is the upgrade to 1080p possible with this cable? And if so, which screen would be a good fit?

Hoping somebody knows what interface the m.2 slot on the E5-575G-75MD is. I see the card reader is PCIe which seems overkill unless it's SDXC compatible... Even so, usb should handle that fine right?

Series of Faulty Aspire E15 E5-575Gs

Hello.

So I purchased an E15 E5-575G-52DA last tuesday.

Everything was working great EXCEPT for the backspace key -- it won't register UNLESS I press really hard and right at the center. I was well under warranty, so I had the laptop replaced with a new unit with a working backspace key.

However, the new one had a jumpy mouse pointer right out of the box. The salesman said it will be fine after a few reboots, but it didn't get any better. In fact, after a day of usage, the laptop's performance got even worse. Everything was crashing, loading takes 2-3 minutes for any app, and disk usage was constantly at 100%.

Finally, I'm on my third unit -- BUT the touchpad mouse pointer is lagging as well. It's fine with an external mouse, though. 

I'm very careful this time as to not install or plug anything, but I think the lagging spells trouble in itself.

I'm over the store's 6-day replacement policy, so my only hope is that it's a software issue that can be fixed.

 

TL;DR

This particular unit has a laggy touchpad, but the pointer works well with an external mouse. Not a very big deal, but ruins the experience especially when I'm working in my bedroom or couch.

Any suggestions?

Losing internet when using outside

Hi all,

I have a E5-571-340M laptop and for some reason when I am using it outside I keep losing connection to the internet, this is even when connected using ethernet cable from router to laptop.
The internal temperature seems to be ok, 24C and 'Good' according to CrystalDiskInfo.
Another laptop I have doesn't lose connection, even when just on wifi, so I am wondering why this laptop does.
It is always fine when using indoors.

We have a defective lap top that crashed on 04-24-2017, we took it to Costco in Brandon Florida (where we purchased it) and dpoek to the manager whom advised to call Costco Conceriege by phone.  Costco Concierge stated that they could do an exchange all we needed was to call Acer to have them do a diagnostic repair by phone and type in the notes "warranty switch out/ warranty replacement" This will allow to Costco and Acer to deal with the unit behind the scenes and allow us (as business owners) to not be inconcenienced.  We then called Acer and spoke to several customer service reps and they acknowledged that after diagnotic repair- FAILED.  Then they requested we mail it in for diagnostic repair.  We were told it would only take up to 7 days to get computer back, but in reality we received the computer back over 2 weeks later and this time with a broken space bar (which was working prior to us shipping it to you).  We feel this particular model lap top is defective, we are simply requesting a new year model of like computer.  Our confidence in this brand has deminished.  This is used solely for my business and for me to be without a computer for this length of time is not accaptable.  We attempted to call Acer again today 5-8-2017 to have them type in notes "defective unit" to allow Costco Conceirge to replace the computer but they refused.  The agent I spoke to was a Floor Manager, ********* , employee ID # *********, When I asked to speak to someone higher- they refused.  When I asked for their supervisors name-they refused.  The only option he provided was to voice my complaint online.  It then took customer service 13 minutes to figure out how to voice complaint online.  Only to find out I had to create a log in to voice a complaint.  I have never heard of any company that requires a log in to voice a complaint.  PLEASE HELP.  I need an operable computer.
