I have an Acer Aspier E5-571 laptop. My mouse has been malfunctioning for awhile now and I cannot find anything on the internet to help aid me in figuring out my problem. My computer will be working fine along with my mouse pad. Every now and again, my mouse pad will start freaking out. If I try to scroll and click off the scroll bar, it won't let me. So every time I move my mouse, the page follows it regardless. Then after that happens, my mousepad will only allow me to use two fingers to work the pad and click. Once that happens, I have about 5 minutes before it switches to 3 finger touch, then 5 finger touch, then completely nothing. I have to manually shut down my computer by using the power button. When I first had this issue I made sure my mouse pad was up to date on everything, which it still is. Yet, tonight it did the same thing where it just completely stopped letting me use the mouse pad. Once I turn my laptop off and back on or if I'm able to reset it, the mouse starts working as normal. I have not uninstalled the driver because I do not have another mouse to use if my mousepad is disabled or uninstalled. I would think paying $500+ dollars for this laptop, I would not be faced with this issue. I owned an acer laptop that came with windows 7 and I never had any problems with that laptop and it's still working 6 years later. What can I do to fix this issue before I lose my mind? It likes to do this to me when I'm in the middle of an exam online for my college classes. It literally is driving me insane! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Acer E 15 E5-575-5476 Battery discharging while plugged in and doing intense tasks
When I'm doing intense tasks like gaming on my laptop, the battery drains even when it's plugged in. I've read that this is normal in gaming laptops where they draw too much power and need power from the battery so I want to know if this is the case with this laptop as well.

Aspire 5332 windows 7
I just formatted my computer to factory. Every looks great. However I can not use the internet. Key word is use. It says it's connected I have full signal says I have access. I've checked the driver, there is no x's or anything. Tried using an Ethernet cable, didn't work. Turned off Wi-Fi. Didn't work. Checked the driver again everything is fine. Internet explore says http error 404 so I troubleshoot and says everything is fine. I even uninstalled the wireless driver and restarted and it was there working, still no internet. But my computer has not been turned on in a while. And it knows that my tv, direct, and roku are also connected to my AT&T modem router. Please any help?

Aspire ES 15 - EFI partition corrupted, cannot install OS
I just bought an ACER Aspire ES1-533. It was supposed to be a Linux laptop and it had a very light Linux distribution which I didn't want to use. I tried to install Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS but it froze during the 'grub2' package installation. I had to restart and after that the EFI partition was corrupted. I tried to install again but it keeps freezing at the same point. Also on starting the laptop I get this message:

So now the situation is a vicious circle:
- I can not repair the EFI partition because no OS is installed (I can only boot with a live USB).
- I can not install Ubuntu because EFI partition is corrupted.
It would be fine if I could set up the laptop to boot with BIOS Legacy instead of EFI, because I have no intention to use another OS. Unfortunately, BIOS does not allow me to change this option. (Also, it won't allow me to disable Secure Boot which is also necessary.)
Any ideas, please?

Acer E15 ES1-512-C5YW not turning on.
Dear anyone able to help,
My laptop having worked OK a week ago will not turn on. With power cable attached there is a solid charging light, but the power up blue light goes solid for 4 seconds, off for 4 seconds, blinks, then off for 4 seconds then solid for 4 seconds and so on, with screen remaining black.
Have tried disconnecting power cable, holding down power button, and also the reset pin hole, but still the same. It's model where you cannot remove battery.

Acer E5 551-T1Z6 graphics issue
I have Acer e5-551G-T1Z6 laptop with AMD A10-7300 processor, AMD R6 graphics and an additional AMD Radeon R7 M265 2GB dedicated graphics. But although having all this much features in my laptop, I am not able to play graphics intensive games without lag. I played Call of duty Black ops 3 and Infinity wars and also Lara Croft Rise of the raider in medium as well as low settings and the experience was hell. I thought AMD would give a good gaming experience but I am sorry to say I am disappointed. While playing games if I go for changing graphics settings I never see my R7 M265 graphics listing. Even when I play youtube videos and click on video to open in another tab, cursor seems to flicker as if system is getting hangged.
Too disappointed. If any one can help from AMD team please do.

Aspire E15 ES!-512-P84G Un-updated from 10 to 8.1 by itself
I have two Acer laptops.
The one listed in the subject line worked fine for a long time. I updated the operating system to 10 from 8.1 within the alotted time. However, after microsoft created a new windows 10 update that basically installed a new version of the windows 10 operating system, this computer would no longer update. My other acer aspire computer updated just fine. Also, I did a re-install on my other acer computer from the hard disc. It reinstalled, not version 8.1, which came with it, but version 10.0,, which was the update taht came with the purchase.
I tried the same time with this computer, and the reinstalled version was the old 8.1 version, not the new version. I tried installing from the usb backup I made. It did not work; i could not get the computer to boot from the usb port. Yes, I do know something about the bios and even updated the bios to the lastest version 1.15. I changed the order of the reboot to have the usb boot first. I also could not get the computer to boot from a bootable DVD. I reinstalled the drivers from the website. I tried to reinstall windows 10 from the website, which I could do. It would not install. Also, none of the updates to windows 8.1. would not install. The touch pad also stopped working. (Fixing the touchpad was easy. I changed the bios setting from "advanced" to "basic.")
At this point I have spent probably 30 to 35 hours trying to fix this problem. I have a degree in Math/CS and worked as a programmer years ago in Silicon Valley so I my knowledge may be dated, but I am not completely unsophicated. I have re-installed the system.
I have tried standalone updates to windows 8.1. I can download and run them, but some check for updates prior to updating. At that point, the screen says "checking for updates" and seems to go into an infinite loop. I have let it run for 24 hous to see if it would finish. It did not. This was the same thing it did when I ran the windows update feature.
The windows update trouble shooter gives an error message and says to contact the vendor.
Also, the acer website always suggested windows 10 64-bit operating system when I check for new drivers. Moreover, the windows website will let me download windows 10.
Therefore, I would like to reistalled windows 10 and have it update. If that is not possible, I would like to have windows 8.1 be able to update.
I have probably tried anything anyone will suggest, but go ahead and suggest it anyway if you think it might help.

Question about booting into Linux / latest BIOS for E 575G / live OS USBs
My machine is 15 inch Aspire E5-575G-75MD
CPU - Intel Kaby i7 Dual core 2.70
GFX - GTX 940m 2GB
Bios - Insyde H20 1.18
Goal -
To dual boot into a Linux Distro (TBD) along with Win 10 (currently installed)
Details -
The newest BIOS version for Aspire E 575G on my device's update page here on Acer is BIOS 1.25, which is the BIOS version that everyone is having issues booting into Linux with from the searches I've done in this community. My current installed BIOS is 1.18. I have not installed any version of Linux yet. All experience has been from booting different Linux distros live from USB.
For it to boot from USB as of now I have to switch to Legacy in BIOS. I ran Tails and Mint from USB. They worked.... kinda. They do boot and it does work, but poorly and unusable in any practical sense both having the same performance issues.
Symptoms -
The trackpads response is painfully slow along with performance degradation causing severe delay in using the OS as a whole. It takes 5 minutes to get the arrow to go where I want (only a slight exaggeration) as well as multiple pad clicks to register selecting any given option or menu. Seems to be lack of performance and/or issues with the trackpad but it seems to be both.
I have read that Linux on Acer has issues (both using the trackpad and in general) when booting using Legacy boot mode and with several BIOS versions, especially 1.25. I have also read that once users get to BIOS 1.31 or above that it fixes several issues, but couldn't find that this fix would work for my specific machine and even if I did, it's not on my devices driver page.
I've updated the entire machine and checked device manager for additional updates to drivers on the web as well as using the acer bloatware.
Does anyone have an idea what could be going on here?

Acer Aspire M5....Inaccesible Boot Device.
When I turn on my laptop it goes to a screen that says Acer explore beyond limits; Preparing Automatic Repair. Then laods Windows Defender Offline; PC is protected; virus & spywear definitions:up to date;Definitions created on;5/3/17;virus & spyware version:1.341.1099.0. Then goes to a light blue screen that says, ur PC ran into a problem & needs to restart. We'll restart for u.; If u call a person: give them this info: Insccesible Boot Device. Can anyone tell me how this happened and/or how to fix it without losing my pictures and stuff.

Installing Intel HD Graphics 5500 display driver causes screen flickering on ACER Aspire E5-473
Currently my laptop is working fine with Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, but I can't sleep my laptop or adjust brightness without installing display driver. My laptop comes with Intel HD Graphics 5500, so I tried to install this driver. But whenever I install it, either using setup.exe or from device manager, it runs well for sometimes, after what the screen starts flickering. The PC hangs with screen displaying black and white lines like an old B&W TV. After shutting it down holding the power button, whenever I start the PC, it shuts down unexpectedly. What should I do?

On my laptop there are two USB 3.0 Port. One works fine but another it can't detect USB 3.0 devices, has current but cannot detect. But if connect to a USB 2.0 Device it works fine. Not sure whether hardware problem or software problem? Any one has experience in this or have the latest USB 3.0 driver to provide?

My laptop unable to connect wifi. Not all wifi but selected. It can connect to my hubby and son handphone, mine one will showed connection limited. Outside wifi also depends but mostly can not connect. Can I know why and how to solve it?
