Apparently Microsoft has started it policy of new hardware running old operating systems not getting updates. This was annouced that they would do this over a year ago in Jan 2016. So if your system uses the New Kabylake CPU or the brand new AMD Ryzen and you install say windows 7 it will not get updates from microsoft properly and you will need to try work arounds. Just a heads up.
My wi-fi connection drops and I was told to update the driver, but according to Windows I am updated, is there another update needed and how do I know which one to choose on the Acer driver update site?

I just bought this acer laptop and I just wondering if is possible to upgrade the hard drive to a SSD. I don't know if I can keep the actual 1TB HDD and add the extra SSD, or if I have to remove the HDD to put the new one.
Also, if you guys can point me to a website who sells SSD hard drive compatible with my acer laptop.

Hey guys, I've been using my Acer laptop for almost 4 years and the Power adapter never stopped working.. I read many threads on internet, and many of the users stated that you should leave the charger for some minutes and try other port in your house, but it didn't work.. Adapter is fully dead, can I use other brand's adapter or I have to buy it's original adapter? Help would be appreciated!

So this morning I accidentally dropped my phone on my laptop and now it refuses to boot. I'm using Windows 10 and have an Acer Aspire E5-473. I went to the automatic repair menu, troubleshoot, and tried doing a system restore and a start up fix, but none of these work. Later I tried going into the BIOS menu and set UEFI to Legacy, which didn't work either. On my screen there's an icon with a magnifying glass which says "No bootable disk - please insert a disk and press any key". I really don't know what to do anymore. I don't know if this is useful, but my HDD is Wdc wd5000lpvx-22votto.

I bought a new Acer Aspire E5 ES1-571-31XM laptop with Windows 10 on it. I found that my webcam is not working. I checked in Device manager there is no entry of imaging devices. Not sure what the issue is.

I have an Acer E5-575G running Windows 10. I have disabled secure boot UEFI and using Legacy so I can support 2 partitons with 2 OS, Windows 10 and Windows 7. I was able to sucessfully install both.
My issues are about the fact that I can't seem to find the Windows 7 x64 drivers for this model. Can anyone assist me in locating said drivers, including the INTEL chipset? (USB not working) The NVIDA will probably be the easiest.
