My Acer keyboard is repeating all keys. Whatever I type repeats multiple times (i.e. 3 or more of the same letter) depending on how quickly I hit the key. Doing this in all programs. No spills. An external USB keyboard works fine. I reset all software, no effect. I reseated keyboard ribbon cable...no effect. I replaced keyboard...no effect. Any suggestions? Do I need a new motherboard? Note: Laptop is 14 months old (12 month warranty). Please help. Thanks.

laptop cotain window 7.....wireless network is not shown in laptop....i.e wifi is not connected....when i turn on mobile hotspot....it doesnot show on laptop network connction....laptop also doesnot find my mobile hotspot..whenever i want to connect it through add wireless network device.....so whit can i do ...?????please help.....???

Standby
Not to long ago I reset my laptop.
I have changed several settings for power but it wont go in standby mode, it only shuts off the screen.
I had an issue like this earlier when I used vlc (where it didnt even shut off the screen) , but I found the right settings and now the screen shuts off and it goes in standbymode after a while. But if I use Netflix and pause it, it only turns off the screen. Can someone please help me to the right settings? I run it in balanced mode, and I have the settings to turn off the system after so and so many minutes, and I have the settings for multimedia to be in balanced mode aswell, so I dont get why it only shuts off the screen.

Can i add an sdd to Acer Aspire E5 574G 54Y2 and keep my hard drive?

ES1-131-C3FQ keyboard not working. Replace motherboard?
Hi All..
First post here. I have a ES1-131-C3FQ which i have recently found out has quite a common fault "Keyboard not working"!! Having replaced the entire palmrest/keyboard assembly, Flashed Bios to latest verion, Reset Battery, Factory restored OS (WIN 8.1).
Still no keys are working.
I'm now left considering replacing the motherboard.
I wondered if there is anyone who knows if it's worthwhile replacing it with a better motherboard as this one has no SATA header and is limited to 32gb eMMC, I believe it is Celeron N3050 CPU and 2gb RAM. Which model should i be looking for if i were to do this?
Any useful advice would be greatly appreciated

ACER Aspire ES 15 Connects to WiFi, but "No Internet"
I realize that others have posted about similar topics, but I've tried a half dozen fixes and nothing seems to work. If the internet access is restored, it only lasts for a couple of hours at best. Can anyone walk me through a fix for this?

Aspire ES1-531-C6FQ (Windows 10) -question about using my Logitech h111 Stereo Headset
Good day.
When I first began using my USB Logitech headset, a screen would pop up asking if this is the device I wanted to use (i.e. to record) - I would choose it to record. A screen no longer comes up and when I go to devices to locate it, it is not found.
Recently, I've had notifications that several drivers are out of date. Could it be a driver issue and if so, which is the driver(s) I need to up-date - it is very confusing.
Any help with regard to steps I can take to enable me to use my headset would be most appreciated. Thank you.

E5-575G-53VG actual processor different than that advertised
Hi!
I bought my E5-575-53VG from Amazon last Black Friday. The page listed the laptop (as still does as of now) as having the i5-6200u clocked at 2.3GHz. Acer's website says the same. The sticker on the laptop itself says that it has the i5-6200u, however system properites seem to show it has the newer i5-7200u clocked at 2.5GHz.
How is this possible?

Disk Usage 100% on Light Tasks
My Acer Aspire E5-575 Signature Edition 33bm is always using around 90-100 of the disk on light tasks, even right now as I am typing this on google chrome. While my updates are downloading for Windows 10. I have had other laptops that do not have this issue of disk usage. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Display not working
Model of my notebook is Aspire E 15 573G 313Y.
Last day i was in my room (not on the laptop even thought he was working) and the display just went dark. The only thing that was open was a pictures app. At first i thought it went sleep mode automaticly but when i moved a mouse and pressed spacebar a couple of times it did not start working.
It is not working yet. Tried to fully charge him, not working, now i am going to let the battery die off and then turn it on to see if something will change because removing the battery from laptop is really hard to remove (there is no button to press so it just comes out) and i could not remove the case.
Any help :/ ?

Acer E5-575 Alt F10 question...
Hi,
I will be installing the OS on a new SSD to my co-workers new Acer Aspire E5-575 laptop. If I delete/Format the "C" drive (main OS partition) as well as the "EFI system partition" which is 100MB, and KEEP the Hidden/recovery Partition only, will I still be able to use the Alt-F10 feature at bootup to do a factory restore?

Aspire E17 E5-773G-52PB discrete or GPU cards?

I need some information from my Acer Aspire E17 E5-773G-52PB notebook. Sorry so far I couldn't found from this notebook a full and correct specification nowhere anything. This machine has two video card, sorry with Nvidia optimus technology.

NVIDIA GM108M [GeForce 940M]
As far as I know, the Optimus systems do not have discrete (dedicated) Nvidia graphics, just an Nvidia GPU that uses the video memory of the Intel GPU. So I can use the Intel GPU alone for power savings, or Intel + Nvidia GPU together for the faster rendering if the software supports it, but not Nvidia alone. But I'm not sure in this! For me the power saving is not important, I would like to use the two card together or the NVIDIA card alone.
First I would like to know, that in this notebook are the two card GPU as far as I know ?
Second, I cannot switch off either GPU off in the laptop's BIOS, therefore I'm meaning on a BIOS update (maybe in an updated BIOS I will can switch off either GPU). But I need for the legacy BIOS option also in the future (I'm using some live and other not windows distros).
Can somebody say me, that If I'm updating the BIOS of this notebook than the legacy BIOS option will stay and that I will able to switch off either GPU with the new updated BIOS? This is an almost new machine with the original BIOS.
Maybe if somebody can offer me an other solution to switch off either GPU please write it down.
Now I can du it with a script:

Aspire E 15 (E5-575G-53VG) CPU Changed?
Hello all, about 2 weeks ago, I purchased the Aspire E15 E5-575G-53VG Laptop off of the amazon selling page. It is a great laptop and I love it. The amazon page, the box, and the actual spec sticker on the laptop state that it sports an i5-6200U 2.3-2.8GHz processor. As I used it, I can confirm that's what it was running. I updated my laptop a couple days ago via a Windows 10 update on the desktop, and when it rebooted, I noticed the processor in the system information (i also checked with minecraft's debug menu), was now an i5-7200U 2.5-2.7GHz processor. I do know that this is a better processor.. I checked in device manager, and this is what i saw in the "events" tab of the new processor:

My ASPIRE ES1-531 is not "reading" my Logitech Headset
