I'm not exactly new to onboard/dedicated graphics card, but are laptops supposed to operate with both?
I have an Aspire F5-573G, are these laptops supposed to use both? Or is it possible to only use the dedicated one?
Also, is the on board graphics using up the physical memory installed?

I got this computer a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it, my ony complaint is that the screen changes its brightness depending on what it's viewing. fo example, it'll dim itself on my school's website, or on youtube. Is there a way to turn that off?
hi, I bought acer aspire es 15 laptop around three weeks ago. it worked fine till yesterday but i found keypad problem while typing. it automatically continues to give space after typing certain characters (especially 'n' and 'm'). also sometimes it continues to keep scrolling down the page and becomes slow to respond. it stops after i press any key but again continues anytime. i scanned my laptop with antivirus software and also reset it to factory settings but the problem still persists. please help me to solve this problem. thanks
Hi there -- I having great difficulty in finding an answer to the problem of de-sensitising my wife's E15 laptop touchpad, At various times the pointer just jumps around without the touchpad being touched.
I have read various replies , but none recently, some date back to windows 7. I am running Windows 10 --- which is great --- and my laptop is a Samsung which uses SYNAPTICS, which I can adjust.
Any current remedies will be greatly appreciated.

Hi. My son bought an Acer E5-771 latop and spent all his savings on it. After 10 months he started getting blue screen of death. Laptop was sent into acer through best buy while it was still on warranty. Acer said it was a software issue and not hardware. We re-imaged laptop multiple times to no avail. Acer told us again it was software, not hardware issue. We gave up. Bougt son new laptop. laptop is not on warranty anymore. Friend who works in IT took laptop and figured out the laptop had a hardware issue and took him less than 1/2 hour to figure it out. laptop has two ram slots. One slot is dead. When laptop tries to send info to that dead slot the computer crashes. We pulled the ram chip and laptop does not crash but is on 1/2 its regular ram. The problem I have is I went and bought a new latop to replace it (another acer) when I shouldnt have had to as it should have been fixed while it was still under warranty. Is there any recourse?

I purchased over a year ago a Acer Aspire E-15 laptop with Windows 10. About two months ago I started expeiencing sound distorions on both speakers but mainly the right one, when playing music or any film or video. Have updated all drivers and yet problem persists. Anybody have a solution for this?

How do I upgrade the RAM on my Acer Aspire E15 E5-522-89W6? Of course there is no easy access door on the bottom and lots of videos show other Acer models that require major surgery for this normally simple task. Please tell me I don't have to remove the 18 screws, HD, fan, wireless card and entire motherboard simply to upgrade 4GB to 8!
Hello all' i just want to ask if there's a driver in Acer E5-475G for windows 7 64bit, i searched on acer website but the Available driver's are for windows 10 only.
i formatted my acer laptop and when i plugged LAN cable there is no internet connection, it say's you need to install driver for LAN and wireless lan so in other words i can't use IObit Booster Driver and Driver's Pack beacause it's needed a internet, and also i can't use Flash Drive.
it there's other way to solve this problem? any suggestion or help. thanks

My Aspire E15's touchpad is not working in Advanced Mode. When I am placing it in Basic mode from BIOS it is working but of-course we don't get the multi-touch features in Basic mode. If I restart and change it to Advanced mode, cursor is not moving at all. In fact, it is not even visible.
I have tried installing both the touchpad drivers available on the Acer website, but they are of no vain and do not work. The operating system I use is Windows 10 Enterprise and my laptop is in-warranty.
Any kind of help/suggestion would be appreciated.

I recently had to replace my hard drive because it was completely bad and could not access the recovery. I replaced the 1TB drive with a new WD 1TB drive and installed windows 10 Home from scratch. Everything went fine and I was able to install all drivers from windows update and the Acer support page for this model. However the disc drive is not showing up in the device manager or in "This PC" I can scan for new hard ware changes although it never shows up. The disc drive does show up in the bios however in the boot order as ATAPI CDROM: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GUAON. The disk drive opens up when pressing the button and spins the disk. Green light flashes and everything. Anyone know of a good fix??

My screen has suddenly started continuously flicking on and off. I have closed it down completely a few times, made sure it is fully charged, taken it off mains, put it back on mains. Even went on the net, where it suggested it was an easy fix for a windows 10 malfunction, but I could not follow the advice because it would not allow me to complete any of the steps, the first of which was to go into task manager, run a new task by typing "misconfig", (without ") it just kept saying it did not exist. Another step was to go in to "services" and tick a couple of boxes, one regarding reporting errors. Unfortunately there were no tick boxes on the long list, just tool/cog that did nothing when clicked. Anyone? It was a gift Christmas 2016, so can't really jump all over it or throw it at the wall in front of my very generous gifter.
