Im trying to disable/uninstall the in-built keyboard, would like to use my wireless keyboard instead.
I´ve tried to do an uninstall but after a restart it´s still there.
Using the Device Manager I can see both keyboards.
Someone able to chip in?
Oherwise this laptop is pretty useless, since I´m using a laptop-stand.

Hi, I added a partition to install Windows XP on my Win 7 Aspire m5 481tg laptop so I could run my old AutoCad LT program. I got the install working fine and the software installed and working, but I'm missing drivers for the XP install that I can't seem to find. The only drivers available for my model are Win 7 or newer, no XP option.
According to device manager, I need the following drivers:
Ethernet Controller
Network Controller
PCI Device
PCI Simple Communicatons Controller
SM Bus controller
USB controller
Video Controller (VGA compatible)
Is it possible to solve or am I stuck with it the way it is? Any help would be appreciated!

I recently got an Acer E5-575G and I want to make sure the battery stays in the best condition possible. But I do not know the best way of doing this. Should I keep it plugged in all the time when I am home? How about when I am playing games on the laptop? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hello, I have an Aspire ES1-523-41 and I'm having trouble installing the mobile broadband USB stick. It connects to the internet via my usual Wifi however it won't install the software for the USB stick. The stick works fine in my other computer so I've ruled that out but just can't seem to get it to work on my new laptop. Has anyone got a solution to this as it's driving me crazy, I've been trying it off and on all day. I would really appreciate some help. Thanks

I am happy with its performance but feel the local hard disk (SSD) is less for my requirements.
I want to know if its possible to add more SSD ? OR Replace Existing one with a higher capacity ? AND how much maximum capacity upgrade is supported.

bought my new laptop with 4Gb RAM and thought that it will be sufficient for net surfing and office work but there's a serious problem: The system reserves more than 2Gb as shared video memory and the remaining 1.9Gb is enough for nothing.. Tried with Windows 10 and Windows 7 as well but the issue is the same and both systems struggle.
Unfortunately, there's no option in BIOS to change the amount of shared video memory. It's a quite limited BIOS interface in fact with no advanced options.
If there's a way to reduce the amount of shared video, please let me know. 2Gb for the integrated Intel HD graphics is unreasonable in my view and therefore this config is almost useless :/

I have a brand new Aspire ES 17, not even 24 hour old. It has froze when almost at the end of installing Norton security. How do I unfreeze it? Or should I return it?
My Acer M screen is black keyboard lit no response, any ideas? Tried all the traditional steps reset button remove power etc.

I have a Aspire F 15 notebook, in the product page it is said that the wirelesse adapter is 802.AC compliant, but i cannot see my 5Ghz network, any one with this problem ?
Using Windows 10 and the device is listed as a Atheros AR956X adapter.
Is Acer lying or the information in the product page is wrong ?
Hello guys, lately i experience something unusual which is blue screen of death. I do too experience freezing and crash when playing games. I have wrote that in another forum and what I got over freeze and crash was over heated. I tried going to Bios setting and i couldnt find the fan setting, also tried some software such as EVGA, MSI and Fan Controller. I didnt work out too. I have made some research over my problem and some few other people experience 100% same as me and they being using the same model as mine. Is there anyway to fix this kind of problem? or i have to go to acer center? maybe faulty?
