≪ Previous: access BIOS ACER Aspire E15 E5-573 with windows 10

1.The sound is so small after play mp3/wave or any other video file. (I have to compare the sound from Acer E3-112-C31G machine) you can compare the soundfor E3-112-C31G and E5-532G-p4YU.(open the audio volume to high and then play the audio file to check the sound. the E5-532G-p4YU is so bad for audio )

2.The internal Panel isn't closed after open internal Panel and then closed internal Panel for serval times.

3.After system boot to Win10 RS1 14393 x64 OS and then open the explore like as Firefox or IE even open an application,the system will wait over 15 seconds and then execute the Firefox or IE or application.

The system performance is so bad than our Acer E3-112-C31G machine.

Aspire e 15 left hand hinge now failed on my 18 month laptop .On googling I have found out how common and known this fault / defect is .Total disgrace that this has remained so for many years . NOT a fault on other laptops I and other family members have had previously as is inferred . Only used by myself and looked after , not damaged or excessive use , which if not , would be acceptable fault .

The computer does not recognize anything I plug into the port. My Acer originally came with Windows 8 and now I am running Windows 10. Did I lose a driver in the transition? I've tried all the Windows updates and Acer's, but maybe I missed one. No one else seems to have this problem on this forum. Any ideas?

I wanted to add an optical drive to this laptop but I'm not finding any information on what optical drive part number will work in this laptop. Does anyone know what optical drive would work with this laptop?

So the problem is that my laptop does not recognize both ram sticks when I put them in together.
I have a 4GB stick that came with the laptop and I had another 2GB stick lying around and decided to do a minor upgrade. Alas, I don't see 6GB of ram when I boot up. The system (and the bios) only recognize 4GB (the original stick that came with the laptop).
I have tried

switching the sticks around
booting up with only 2GB stick
booting up with only 4GB stick
4GB stick in other laptop
2GB stick in other laptop
4GB stick from other laptop in both slots

All of the above yelided no results, in the way that everything was fine when I tried any of those. The laptop booted up every time, and the other laptop (the tester) booted up with all of the above mentioned sticks. So I guess it's not the sticks, or the slots?
The fun thing is that the task manager, system manager and bios all show only 4GB while CPU-Z shows the full 6GB and sees both sticks.

So is it because of the mismatch of the speed, of the cas or of the voltage?
If so should I generally just be better to get one 6GB or one 8GB (1.35v ??)?

HI I have an E5-511 laptop that has decided to stop powering up.

I have removed the battery, done an hard reset etcc ... Opened the laptop up and removed and resitted the ram with no joy.

I Have tried the laptop with both the battery in and solely the AC adapter and also tried another AC adapter.

When i press the power switch the fan will move and contuine to be on. I have connected the laptop to an external sorce and still get no boot.

The blue AC light is on, but the LED is quite dim, does this indicate anything?

can i restore my pc to factory settings if i do not have the disk that it is asking for. i have somehow got a maleware problem and cannot seem to get rid of it so i am thinking a factory reset will cure the problem

Yes I know offically is per Acer the battery is "non-user replaceable" but apparently it can easily be replaced according to a teardown of a similar model teardown link . Based on the teardown photos the battery pack model number is AS16A5K. Acer states that e5-575g-53vg comes with a 6 cell battery and some websites are stating that the battery number AS16A5K is a 4 cell battery but stating the same capacity as Acer states.

Has anybody here taken or would be willing to take the back cover off of their e5-575g-53vg and find what the battery model number is?

I'm asking because I'm considring buying the e5-575g-53vg but I plan to keep it for more than two years so finding out what I exactly need beforehand for the future would give me piece of mind.

<rant>I hate it that so few laptops these days no longer have batterys that are officially "user replaceable"</rant>

My laptop is in guarantee period, first of all.

Sometimes (averagely one time every two days) I get bluescreen, using Windows 10.

Also, another nuising problem that I'm having it's some sort of computer's crash(same frequency of the above, but apparently not relationed):

-Task manager doesn't show up with ctrl+shift+esc nor ctrl+alt+del

-I can't close anything

-Internet connection seems to stop, though icon on the side of the clock shows it's still connected, so I can't open any new websites in a new tab (it keeps waiting connection)

-I can open up start menu, but none of it's buttons seems to work (can't even reboot or turn off)

-After some time, every program stops responding

Because of this crash, I have to force reboot everytime it occurs.

With all of that said, I need help with diagnosis, so I can get the laptop back to Acer to maintenance

Hey guys,

my Aspire ES1-531-P6KL is running kinda slow lately so I wanted to reset it.

I've got no problem accessing the recovery menu nor selecting a partition to reinstall windows on.

After "getting your computer ready" or whatever the first step is called it goes over to "resetting your PC".

After some time, probably around 30% of the resetting process, it suddenly ends saying, "there was an error resetting your PC, no changes were made"

I've already tried it a few times, I tried to access the recovery in windows and while booting - same result, and unfortunately I don't have any recovery disks, since I'm travelling right now..

I don't know if it matters, but I split the HD into two partitions using the Windows tool (one for Windows, the other one for Documents etc.). Shouldn't affect anything in my opinion tho, since I didn't touch the recovery partition and I used to do the same with my old notebook back home.

I hope anyone know whats going on and I able to help me..

I got my Acer ES1-131 around 3 days back. It came with what I assume to be basic Linux. Anyways, I'd always planned to get the RAM upgraded to 4GB (the problem for that is in a seperate post) and install Win 7 or Win 10 on it. However, as my RAM upgrading plan has got stuck, I decided it would be better to install Win XP on it for a few days (until I can know if I can do the RAM upgrade). I had a copy of my Win XP disc on a portable HDD which I copied to a 8GB pendrive. After plugging the pendrive into the laptop, I entered BIOS mode and changed the boot order so that the first booting device was the pendrive. However, after the restart, instead of the Win XP installation starting, I get an error message which says "NO BOOTMGR FOUND, PRESS CRTL+ALT+DEL TO RESTART". However, even pressing those keys did not restart the laptop. I had to manually shut down the laptop. I did reattempt this process, but exactly the same thing happened. Why is this happening and is there a way to rectify this (and install Win XP) on my laptop??

Hi, I have a new Acer Laptop at most it has 5 months old. One day I was about to fall off and I kind of grabbed myself from the table, but in doing that I slamed my laptop with my palm near the touchpad. Now sometomes when I'm using it, it starts making strange noises, and when the noise starts my internet doesnt work "even if its connected", I can type in google but it doesnt do the search, like if it freezes, I can type in word sometomes not, until it stops the noise then what I typed into google continues and everything is fine. When Im using netflix sometimes it even stops the streaming until the noise ends.

What can I do?

hello i am running windows 10 home and my computer says its running at maximun 1.80ghz and my laptop says it could run up to 2.4ghz so i would like to run 2.2ghz so theres wiggle room and get some speed to game a little?

Hi,

Can anyone who had issues with this laptop please tell me what they did to fix it? It connects to the Internet but I lose connection out of nowhere, and then get it back after 2-3 minutes.. I called Acer and I did what they told me, but it still continues to do it.

Any ideas??
