Acer E5-551G Radeon R7 M265 Graphics card not recognized in display adapter
I bought an Acer aspire E5-551G T16Q notebook on 29th august 2015 and the specifications say that it has AMD Radeon R7 M265 2 GB dedicated VRAM but while checking display adapter I found that the Graphics card is not available and it shows 256 MB Microsoft basic display adapter.I have installed AMD catalyst driver but it comes with a message "currently there are currently no settings that can be configured using AMD Catalyst control center."
I tried everything which I found in Acer community like setting power options to high performance, but nothing changed.
I'm getting frustrated as nothing is working out.Please suggest anything to sort this issue out.

hello sir/mam , i would like to ask if i upgrade and add ram on acer asphire e5-521-205y will void warranty ? i have an extra ddr3l ram but i can't upgrade my laptop because im afraid to lose my laptop warranty. my laptop has sticker on its screw at the back thats why i can't open it. anyone can give me some advise about this ? advance thankyou for your help and support ^_^

My Aspire ES1 displays a blue box after pressing F2, is this from the BIOS ?
Hi,
I was trying out a Linux Lite CD and changed the bios to legacy, I want to revert to windows, so switched on again and get a message about a network boot followed by insert boot media, thinking I need to revert to UEFI on pressing f2 I get a blue box requesting I enter a password, I dont remember setting one.
Ater three trys the the laptop can only re-boot
I think I saw a second type of blue box once and it also had a number displayed, I tried entering the number but this did not seem to work.
Has anyone any idea what I did wrong ?

New Acer Aspire E 15 Boots Extremely Slowly
I bought a brand new Acer Aspire E 15 today, and immediatly upgraded to Windows 10 with it. The computer seems to run okay once it's started, but everytime I have to restart or boot it after shutting down it takes a full 2 minutes to boot, which is frankly, ridiculous. I own a 4 year old dell notebook with an i5, integrated graphics, a terrible fan and Windows 10 that takes 18 seconds to boot, while this new machine with an i7 and a nvidia card takes a full 2 minutes. I have to say I'm pretty unahppy with this situation and would like some help on how to resolve it...
I've turned off all the startup programs, save realtek audio, and it didn't help.
I'd really appreciate any insight on this.

My Aspire E1 531 shuts off at exactly 30mins. Is there anybody that can help? I am running win 10
E1 531 4694 it turns off at 30min exact no matter what.
I have upgraded to Windows 10. and i have upgraded the old intel b960 to an i5 3210m (my problem probably is stemming from this) no other upgrades other than the os and cpu
I have turned every power setting to never turn off.
I have watched the temperature. it stays low and still turns off.
i have taken out the battery and left it plugged in. still turns off.

E5-772 USB problem
Hi all,
My problem is one of the ports keeps thinking that a device is being ejected or reinserted, so every 2 or 3 minutes I hear the event sound for it on the PC's internal speakers-an external set is always used. I have 1 3.0 port connected to a storage drive, 1 2.0 port occasionally used for my printer and the other 2.0 port is occupied by a Logitech Unifying Receiver for my mouse. I believe the driver went bad for one of them but I can't locate where to download it either on the Acer support site or through Recovery Management as there are no specific USB drivers listed.

why have acer made it so hard to add ram....
I have an E5-551-T1MK and to add ram you have to take the whole thing apart and flip the motherboard... why have they done this, why cant it be as simple as taking 2 screws out and a panel like every other branded laptop.... seriously.
the laptop itself is very slow for what it is, i expected more from an amd a10-7300 apu and 8gb of ram, it cant even play counter strike at 60fps at 1024x768.....

Aspire es1-131 bios v1.17 bricked!?
Hi,
I just updated the bios in my aspire es1-131 from 1.11 to 1.17. All seemed to be progressing OK, but after finalization (100%) and reboot the computer is dead. Just a black screen. No logo, not possible to hit F2 or anything. Isvthere any way to fix this?? Or is it totally bricked?

Recovery issues after new hard rive install.
My friend recently had to buy another hard drive for his desktop when the original crapped out. He also bought the recovery discs from Acer. I've just gone through the install, after formatting the hard drive. Everything went well until the program asked for the computer to be restarted. Now there's a quick flash of loading sequence, then the screen just shows a flashing cursor in the upper left. Any ideas?

Aspire ES1-512. My speakers intermittently quit working.
My Aspire ES1-512 have intermittent speaker failures. I checked the drivers and they are ok. Also when I check the speaker properties in the Control Panel it says they are working properly. When they are inoperative I cannot play videos as I get an error message.

My Acer Aspire E1-571 won't connect wirelessly to the internet.
Recently had the power jack replaced on my laptop, and since then I've been unable to connect to the internet. Nothing I've tried has worked, and I can't even find the wireless in a search. Anyone got any ideas?

How to restore fui ction of USB2 ports on Aspire E15
The two USB2 ports on my Aspire E15 do not connect to anything. My dongle lights up but does not connect to the internet. My printer does not accept commands, nor is in the connected peripherals list.
Looking at some other websites, it is quite a common fault with Acer products, so I assume there is some downloadable update to cover this?

Quiet microphone on Aspire R14 (R3-471T)
I recently purchased an Aspire R14 (R3-471T) and have been unable to get the microphone functioning properly. I installed Windows 10 immediately after purchase, but when I first attempted to Skype, the person on the other end of the line could barely hear me. I adjusted the mic volume/ boost settings but this didn't make much difference.
I then tried installing the recommended audio driver for Windows 10 from the ACER website (v6.0.1.7553). This didn't help, and in fact made my machine run slow and included a random beep noise when I moved my cursor around the screen. I also attempted to install the listed Windows 10 driver from Realtek (R2.79), same problem.
I reverted back to Windows 8.1 to see if this could be a Windows 10 issue. The slow performance resolved, but the low mic volume persists.
I have since returned to Windows 10. If I turn the volume mic & booster all the way up, speak directly into the microphone and turn the volume all the way up on the machine, I can just about hear myself on a Skype test call.
Same problem with sound recorder and Cortana.
At this point I'm not sure if the problem is just a rubbish microhone, or an issue with the drivers. As I mentioned ajustment of mic settings or uninstall/ reinstall does not seem to help.
If someone could advise specifically what the driver versions/ settings should be for this model that would be helpful (screenshots?). Any other advice welcome.

Acer Aspire e5-573g-model problem!Acer is a very bad support
I am very disappointed in Acer. Very bad attitude to their customers. Here is my story:
I bought my laptop Acer aspire e5-573g two weeks ago. I installed windows 10 and after first restarting I got a black screen ... No logo Acer, no cursor (mouse) and I cannot access the settings. It’s just a brick now. And this is not only my problem. When I googled this problem I realized that a lot of people have the same troubles (black screen). Acer support doesn’t help and doesn’t assist.
Older Acer models - bios can be restored with the aid of usb flash and firmware file. But for this model "smart" Acer’s engineers created bios which cannot be restored that way.
I don’t have any service centers for Acer in my area. Nearest is 500 km far away. I have to go there by myself to resolve this problem. Ok! What if I come back and the problem will happen again? I have to go back over 500 km? It’s wasting of my time and money!!! I'll never buy any Acer product and will do anything that I can to share Acer service and quality. Shame to you, Acer!

e5-551-t1mk doesnt boot first time
my laptop went back for a repair due to a broken screen and since ive had it back it never boot the first time, it can take 10+ tries to boot, the warranty runs out on the 10th of october and since i bought it from pcworld, knowhow fix it not acer, had nothing but problems with it since day 1, bad laptop for the price.

ES1-111M-P2YU touchpad issue
I have got myself this laptop due to it's size and upgrade options.It worked great at first, but then the touchpad started to freeze!!!!!! No matter what OS I have used - Win 7, Win 8, Win 10 - touchpad freezes and only Fn+F7 will restore its functionality for few seconds or for a few minutes. I have sent laptop back to Acer and all they did - reinstall windows OS. And of course touchpad worked on a fresh installation. I have done that myself numerous times!!!! Afer you reinstall
OS it works for few days and then issues appear again. I wish I can return this laptop and get my money back 
Currently I have latest BIOS, latest drivers and Windows 10.
I have seen numerous mentions from other people about same issue, and noone have mentioned the permanent fix. So is there a fix for this issue? Or we are stuck with a semi-functional laptop?
